It's too hot :(

Just stood outside for a few minutes, eyeing and listening to the thunderstorm, quite spectacular, nature be scary!
 
Add another from Nottingham rudely awoken. Glad I was though because I remembered I left the parasol and BBQ in the garden so a mad half naked 2am dash to get it in!
 
Another Nottingham person, was pretty mad for a while although seems to be passing over now. Looks like more to come from the south though
 
I love lightning but me and my father dont have a good history with it considering between us we have been about 50-100m from 4 lightning strikes
 
Another Nottingham person ... Yep that was a bit hairy for a while. With thunder, lightning and torrential rain ... moving away now but still very active.

Did nip on from my phone and close down the servers and NASes rather than rely on the UPS to keep them up

I pulled everything at the wall and ran on battery but didn't seem to be much in the way of ground strikes.

Nice - at its peak here there was like 3-4 of that at a time spanning much of the horizon it was nuts.
 
Lightning still happening here but the thunder and torrential rain has stopped. I Feel sorry for my neighbor as his car window is playing up and stayed 1 inch open. I wonder how wet the interior got.:o
 
Well it's just kicking off again in Nottingham by the sounds of it, massive roll of thunder in woodthorpe.
 
I've heard it all now. About 02:00 or so it was crazy lightning and thundering here with proper torrential rain. So, being slightly warm and sticky, I decided to put on a pair of shorts and go stand at the table in the backyard. Ten minutes later some div shone a bright light over the gate, right in my face, and demanded to know what I thought I was doing sitting outside in the rain. Coppers, two of them, claiming somebody had phoned because there was a topless man in his yard.
