Real annoying they haven't announced a Pro Carbon AC MAX revision. Possible in the future?

Unlikely. People have speculated that because the Pro Carbon AC is such a good board for the price, quite a few people looking for a Ryzen 3000 ready board, would buy a MAX version rather than buying a more expensive x570 board.

This is now in stock with other UK retailers, guessing OCUK will get some soon.

The B450 Tomahawk Max is available, I’ve not been looking out for the Mortar but I agree I can’t find it either so looks like they might be releasing them at different times which seems a bit odd.

Bought the X570 Gaming Edge WiFi in the end.
No end of problems.
Motherboard is either DOA or my case is shorting it.

Build your system outside of your case and then you'll know if that's your issue.

That's the plan. Can't do it til Saturday afternoon now though.
PSU has been tested, and it is fine. Used the power supply tester that comes with it, I haven't specifically tried jumping it with a paperclip.
Got absolutely no signs of life out of the motherboard. Tried jumping the power switch in case it was faulty.

I hope the build works nicely and I think the Tomahawk MAX is a great choice for a new build
I got some parts in myself like a Corsair RM750x PSU but am probably going to wait a bit for MB/CPU prices to come down since I'm in no hurry.

Sods law says the Tomahawk MAX arrives after I get my DOA X570.

This will be interesting, X570 is way to expensive and MSI are the only ones with Flashback B450, please let these be good, hoping that with the extra space any issues will be easily resolved.

That board was so good, too good for the pricing IMO and that is why MSI have stopped producing them, from what I see the standard B450 Carbon Pro is now EOL.
