I wasn't tracking this story but yesterday the "model" was sentenced for life for killing her one and three year old children since they got in the way of her sex life. She strangled them both within weeks of one another so she could go and do sordid sex work.

Shocking that a mother could do that to her children but 32 years? (which it won't be). Surely she shouldn't see light of day.

Also, not so much the point, but she was an aspiring model? Wow! Must have been a hand model or something.

What a disgusting creature.

I found this quite upsetting when I read about it. How could a mother do that to her babies? Doesn’t get more callous than that. I hope the other cons get an opportunity to get to her in prison. She’ll wish she had never been born.
 
It's such a horrific case and just unfathomable to any right thinking person, but for her to show no emotion when calling the incidents in and her subsequent actions just shows the depths of how broken a person she is.

It does say she should serve a minimum of 32 years and though I am against the death penalty, i'm not against life time incarceration where required.
 
I’ve been following this story and I think this ‘got in the way of the sex life’ angle has been distorted slightly and is a bit sensationalist.

Doesn’t change the fact that mum was loopy, it’s a horrible story and a tragic loss, of course.

The victims impact statement sure makes it seem that way.
 
Quite close to home in that the woman lived less than half a mile up the road and also was a temp in my workplace last year.

My mate was joking about how in your face flirty she was with him last year before all this came out, narrow escape I guess.
 
the inteview with the father was strange
... the police must have cleared hime of any responsibility - but he was showing complete shock, suggesting he was involved in their lives, but, was not concerned by her mothering ... I need to do some reading

It does, but consider the source. Even the judge said (paraphrased slightly) “only you know why you did it”. I just think the ‘sex life’ thing is just being overused by the media (particularly the rags) to sell the story as being shocking / depraved when really that aspect is somewhat incidental. Of course, the children were (from her perspective) getting in the way of her chosen life so I can’t deny that it IS related.
 
If this isn't worth the death penalty I dunno....
Losing Someone like this from society would be zero impact and only good.

Couldn't agree more. End two lives before they barely started and you get 32 years. Just wow. If only the babies could have lived for 32 years. Where do they make these sentences up.

From what I can gather is, mother moved 50 miles from father and prevented access to children either through refusal at the door or through social services. Theres rumours going around that mum injured children to provide bruises to pin on father to get court order blocking.

But if you want a laugh head over to mumsnet...

The fact she is adding umpteen guys on dating apps right around when she killed them does support the sex story though.

Yeah, even in the face of such a horrific tragedy, they’re desperately trying to find a way of pinning some of the blame on a bloke. Desperate stuff.
