Are we going to end up with civil unrest? Rioting and food shortages?

what does everyone think will happen over the next couple of months?

British people will put up with anything as long as they still get their foreign holidays and can pay the mortgage.
If a severe recession came then there might be some trouble but in the main, we're addicted to comfort.
 
I like this Brexit thing, because it's exposed just how corrupt our system is, for all to see.
And yet....... people keep on voting for the people who are harming them.

Representative democracy doesn't work, does it?

Every system is bad, democracy is the best of the bad ones.

I mean we can always go back to have the Queen rule over us.
 
Probably, Brexiteers won't be happy about Democracy being betrayed and Remainers won't be happy about not getting their own way, much like their beloved EU's definition of Democracy they want to just ignore the people.

It still makes me laugh that remainers think (or I'll be generous pretend to think) we can get a deal when they keep trying to extend and take no deal off the table, if you walk into any negotiation and the other side knows that you won't leave without a deal you're going to get absolutely mugged. Any 5 year old should be able to understand that. I think remainers are just doing whatever they can to overturn the Democratic vote rather than be that stupid though, dangerous rather.

If no deal meant walking away and being no worse off, then you might have a point. But it doesn't, so you dont.

Surprising that someone who has the confidence to lecture others on negotiation tactics hasn't grasped this incredibly simple point.

Remain MPs know full well that the EU won't renegotiate the Withdrawl Agreement unless forced to. The only leverage we have to push that is the threat of no deal. Hence by blocking no deal the remainers could well gerrymander a cancelling of Brexit. This has been the plan all along, they are playing the long game.

There's no such thing as a "no deal Brexit". It's just speaking in code.

There's leaving the EU and not leaving the EU.
Any deals (treaties) or not_deals are separate from that.

When they say, "we don't want to leave without a deal", what they really mean is, "we don't want to leave the EU."

The way to leave the EU is to.......... leave the EU......... then afterwards, it may or may not be possible to negotiate a trade agreement, as long as this agreement benefits the UK and doesn't take us back into the EU.
 
What the Tory rebels (and those who voted with them) have done is to hand the negotiating power to the EU.
It's treason, but lawful treason, although it is not of course lawful under natural law.
That's how broken this society is.
If the hanging of high-level traitors was lawful, then I would wholeheartedly recommend that legal remedy.
