Hi,

I purchased the following laptop back in 2014 for OC:-

MSI GT72 2QD (Dominator)-233UK, 17.3" FHD Anti-Glare, Intel Core i7-4710HQ, 16GB DDR3, 1TB 7200RPM HD, NVIDIA GTX 970M 6GB GDDR5, CD-RW - Windows 8.1

And now it is failing to boot. I don’t think power is an issue as pressing F11 and going into the BIOS keeps the laptop on.

But it fails to load windows and powers itself down.

I’m not the tinkering type as wouldn’t know what to look for.

Any suggestions for either troubleshooting or what might be the issue (unlikely I know)

Thanks

Try a linux live USB to see if the laptop will boot in to an OS.
Does Windows detect it's not starting and allow you to get to the startup repair/troubleshooting screen?

No, it turns off before any troubleshooting options appear.

Linux live USB, is that something I can download on my desktop and put into USB?
