One of the largest travel agents we work with, emergency meetings all over the place.
If there’s a maths dispute going on I better call in our resident boff, @ianh
This. I'm quite an optimistic person, but the whole situation is really worrying. Quite few chains collapsing, and it's way past the point we're one should worry only if the next purchase will be a 2080ti or a 2080 super. Hope whoever those clowns in charge do, or are planning to do, sort this out and those people find a better working market soon.It does'nt look good - I suspect the axe will fall this weekend or monday at the latest. I really hope people who have booked with them can get the money back, but it's worth also remembering that 20,000 people are about to lose their jobs. Something it seems to me the Press have forgotten with all the dramatic stories of people stuck abroad.
Does anyone know how long it would take to get your money back if they do go bust? I have 2 holidays booked with them, one to mexico on October 6th and another to Turkey next year.
from them or the credit card company?
Yep, i'm in a big predicament, I have flights booked through them for 4 weeks time to Florida, fortunately my lazy ass hasnt booked anything else yet so either need them to either go bust now or they get rescued with reassurance they will be operating for the next 2 months minimum![]()
Yes indeed, the sentiment is more for the staff facing redundancy rather than the reality of the position the business is in.The problem with places that are rescued is they don't normally last very long due to the reason it needed to be rescued in the first place..

Yes, we should forget about progress. Ditch all computers and bring back typewriters so that typists can get their jobs back while we're at it! How dare people have the tenacity to research and book their own holiday they want, rather than let someone sat behind a desk in a shop do it for them based on only what their own company sell. The caring people wringing their hands about the 20,000 jobs will be the same people getting an Uber to the airport to catch their £19 flight to Barcelona with Ryanair, to stay in a hotel secured separately on booking.com.
Society has gone full retard.
