Its a stunning case isn't it  Saw a review the other day about it and all good words and it keeps sound down to a minimal.... TASTY!!

I was a little underwhelmed when I saw the pictures as having seen other be quiet cases up close I've been impressed with the quality. I'll take a look at the review as I like the relatively compact dimensions and the larger rear fan.

I got this case and done a new build recently for a family member.

Cons:
-Its very light, thin plastic type material well kind of hard to describe its got some strength to it but its not made from steel or solid material.
-its like those cheap light £19.99 china made ATX cases you find at the computer markets the ones you can pick up with 2 fingers either end.
-USB 3.0 ports only on front, no 3.1 or USB 3.1 C port, feels like they cut corners but its no different to others around.
-cramped on the top side, I had to remove entire motherboard after build since I could not get 4 pin cpu wire in no space.(just needed inch more space,
if they made the top part totally removable could have solved all issues and they already done it half way with magnetic covers.
-also cramped on the back side panel, even an award winning £180 Titanium seasonic ultra prime power supply still use ultra thick 24 pin cables and the side panel needed a far bit of push and this was after spending half an entire day cable tieing and hiding and flattening all the cables.
-the plastic material of the case and noise dampening material not really doing too much, I think the panels are just too thin and plastic.

Pros:
-One of the best looking mid range cases I think I have used if not the best.
-Excellent design, I reckon bulky hdd cages belong in the past the futures m2 and ssd.
-half the cable tieing and management was already pre-done on the back side of the case, this speeded up the work more and also appreciated the
pre screwed ATX motherboard screws in place although there was one pre built (one recent reviewer said he struggled to get his motherboard to lineup
correctly id bet he missed inserting that pre built atx bolt on into the mobo hole since its so small and easy to miss)
-140mm fans are decent and shift decent air and 3 pin so no risk of the PWM coil whine, id say there a tad noisy still but quiet just not silent.

I have only tried it for a few days but I miss the solid steel panels from coolermaster and others it really can aid in silence, If my relative finds it bit too noisy
I may opt for some 7volt fan noise reducer cables. Still no case is perfect and its still probably the best looking and easiest to build for I have had.

just seen a review of this case on kitguru the overclockers images don't do it justice , renders I suspect. the photos on the review look much better, if I was after a compact atx case this would be on my list

Good info, out of interest what did you think of the dust filter system?
and what colour and side panel did you have solid or clear?

Not really had the chance but did remove the dust filter on the bottom, its easy and so is the magnetic one on the top seemed fine. I went for the grey/silver type one felt it looked the best all solid no windows.

I have ordered some 7volt case fan reducers so gonna see if I can improve the silence of these be-quiet case fans

That is god info, I have one arriving in black with solid panel too for a little build for my wife, will be interested to see how the sound compares to the old sound insulated case she has currently

Will be good to know if you don't mind is her case solid steel ? I do think the solid steel cases with sound dampening are much better.

This case is good don't get me wrong but I am left wondering if I should have spent the extra few tenners on an steel solid higher end case since I have hawk like ears especially if the pc is 1 meter away from me, I will get my fan reducer volt cables soon so am expecting silence to come back again they mod it from 12volt to 7volt almost half so it should chop off majority of the cfm air flow noise I hear.

Well i build in this case last night, all went swimming, but I did find the 8pin MB CPU connector a bit of a stretch as we didn't have modular PSU available.
temp seem very nice with stock fan config, all running smoothly.
I find the sound levels comparable to her old fully steel case, but like the front UI, i do find it odd they have no HDD activity lights, Similar cases i have seen had such a light within the on off switch so it flashed, but they seem to have skipped that.
It was easy to build in, got my 8 year to do most of it, she enjoyed her first build.

Flies compared to my wife's previous system, single core r20 tripled, and multicore by about a factor of ten.

Seems like this case has modernised on the Pure Base 600 from a few years ago, but isn't strictly an upgrade.

I built a watercooled setup in the PB600 and the integrated fan controller was very useful. But the lack of PSU shroud and limited airflow show it to be very 2016.

It looks like the 500 simultaneously has improved airflow and more sound deadening material. I didn't find the 600 all that quiet, but then like @R3X I am aiming for full-on silence, not just quiet.

Glad you liked it and found it similar noise level wise, yeah its not a perfect case but the front of the case and build is clean and elegant it certainly has a nice touch to it. In regards to activity lights I hate them since they glare in a dark room so have always stuck bluetack over them but bequiet have cut a few corners with this case and it does show.

But if you do want one you can get a device called 'Desktop Computer PC Power Supply on/off Reset Push Button' search it on the bay, I have the one with 3 red lines on bottom. Its basically a circle power switch device with a blue led light in the middle and it flashes red with pc activity and has power & reset button and only 5-6 quid. Basically it saves you from bending down or reaching down to switch things on or off just depends where your pc is situated.

Ahh always wondered how the Pb600 was, integrated fan controller definitely would have been a plus here since I found those pre installed 140mm fans a bit noisy but am a silence freak.

The good news is my 3 pin noctua fan noise reducer cables arrived and they have made a world of difference to those fans and cut the noise to almost none even with the ear a few inches away from the system, cpu and system temps have gone up 5-10c sadly but its fine its just a surfing box not gaming. This is now the most silent silent pc I have built to date so am glad.
