When you see the difference it really is a nice Ray tracing, it complete removes the shadow pop in and loss of quality on and around the tank. Has for performance I don't have an FPS counter but the demo didn't seem any different from playing back to back but the scoring shows a different story.

BTW, you dont have to take a screen grab of your results, it takes one for you when you click on 'affirmative' at the end of the demo and dumps it in the screenshot folder, where you installed the demo.

Vega is handling it pretty well considering it was launched long before RT in games was even a thing.

I keep getting mixed results, 9900K @ 5GHz, 2080 Ti @ 1900/7500 and installed on an NVME SSD, Sometimes it's 36,000 and sometimes it's 38,500, Very inconsistent test.

I’ve never played this game as dice sayed it’s very inconsistent. I’m not a bencher just a gamer .

2080Ti stock at 1080P and 3440x1440 - 6850K @ 4.1Ghz

Game looks decent and RT works well in this, although I doubt it will get noticed much.

Gents (and any ladies), the score numbers mean nothing and are subjective. Don't be carried over please.

3900X + 5700XT 2560x1440 Ultra graphics
  • no RT does 103-156 fps on this benchmark (and in game, as I play this one but with culled FPS to 143 for Freesync) (~22000 score)
  • High RT (1st option) 61-66 fps (best option as tank shadows aren't blurry) (~15300 score).
  • Ultra RT (3rd option) 51-55fps (tank shadows are blurry) (~13000)

Also the RT shadows on tanks, look no different than if the game had HBAO and cannot see them even 10m away when 2 tanks are moving. Let alone at usual distances this game takes place of 100-400 metres away, in woods and towns while is fast paced game. Any pause to look at the graphics of your opponent tank shadows, means you are dead.
In addition, WG selected Sand Riven for the benchmarks, specifically because is the most barren map in game with the sun shining. The majority of maps are in towns and forests, with the sun behind clouds.

FYI @Illuminist see above about performance with 5700XT.

Navi destroys Vega in World of Tanks RT, RX 5700XT is 50% faster than Vega 64, 20% faster than Radeon VII

Benchmark
Navi destroys Vega in World of Tanks RT, RX 5700XT is 50% faster than Vega 64, 20% faster than Radeon VII

Vega is also significantly slower than Pascal, Radeon VII can't surpass the performance of a GTX 1070

Turing does much better than all of them though, as a 2060 is equal to RX 5700 XT.

This is using software RT.
