So this is Ford's first venture into the full electric arena and its a performance style SUV bearing the Mustang name/badge.

It launches at 2am GMT 18/11 (6pm 17/11 LA Time at the motorshow) but someone seems to have hiccuped and put the pages up live for a little bit... Enough time for them to grab some images (US site so US pricing but coming to UK late 2020).

Pre-orders start at launch on Monday morning for UK

Be interesting....

Not sure why you'd take the name of an existing car and create something completely different. Had it been a coupé in the typical mustang way, but electric, sure. But an SUV? Why not just call it something else

Not just an SUV, but a 2 door SUV :p

I can't see where this really fits in the market other than just being another EV. I doubt the Mustang fans are going to be temped and shop their 5.0 V8 in for one. Because they bought a 5.0 for a reason, the noise and the Americanness and the traditional Mustang styling.

Because who’s going to pay £50k for a Ford CUV? The Mustang name, with a decent bit of performance could persuade some people to part with that sort of money.

It looks like it’s going to be a good option, but Ford are still going to face the uphill struggle of it being a Ford with a premium price tag.

Oh and I’m pretty sure it’s a four door, just the rear doors are well hidden.

I'm guessing it's a pedestrian safety thing :(

Otherwise they could have the bonnet sloped all the way to the ground.

they’re very well hidden if so because on the rear 3/4 profile shot I can only see the door line of the front passenger door.

Personally I absolutely love it. Although it’s a limited market I’d have thought.

There are some spy shots of the actual car (not the renders from the “leak”) that show the doors more clearly.

What’s missing are the door handles, which is why it doesn’t look like a door.

Seems odd they'd want to dilute the Mustang brand by attaching it to an electric SUV.

I guess Ford are assuming the V8 muscle car isn't long for your world and want to keep the name alive!

So so ugly the front end is awful if you don’t know what to replace the grill with just put a grill lol.

surely the whole point with electric cars needs to be smaller, lighter more aero dynamic to improve range not just another fat frumpy SUV?
