What do you do with your extra money?

After you've upgraded your PC and bought things you've wanted what do you like to do with your money ?

Do you put it away for a rainy day? Save towards a holiday? Buy something unnecessary?

I'm trying to do some research to see the best savings option for myself looking for some advice and thought would be an interesting conversation

After upgrading PC and buying things I want, I use the left over money for boring stuff like food, council tax, mortgage, etc.

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

After bills, day to day expenses and any other necessities, most of my spare money goes into a savings account for when I get the impulse to buy something or go somewhere that costs more money than what's in my regular bank account at the time.

Anthing spare goes into high interest saving account. From there redirected towards stocks & shares ISA, junior savings account in my daughters name and other investments. Unfortunately can't pay extra into my NHS pension. Try to keep around minimum of 6-9 months worth of living expenses in readily accessible accounts.

My last wage was 125 quid so not much saving at moment, started agency work after redundancy (after 6 weeks in Spain), a buffer zone of money is very important maybe 2 or 3 months I do a lot more, diesel to take me to the beach to surf or walk is all I need but when I need an item I get a quality one ie my maui Jim sunglasses
I'm mortgage free though so not easy for some

That's what I thought. I know what Money is and where it goes but extra money? Some sort of myth! Must be like the spare change I get asked for. None of my change is ever spare.

After both me and the Mrs taking pay cuts (I'm just now back up to same as I was on) within the 18 months we haven't had much spare money and not sure what we did with it when we had it!
