On looking at my MASSIVE photos, I think I should look at perhaps a little edge highlighting, especially on the Cypher Lords. Like I have the time!

Also, I am aware of someone's hands painted the wrong colour, but I decided to just go with it :D

they look amazing but the mould lines on the far right Golem needs sorting

The plan is to have a 2 level 4*4 table done - just need to pull my finger out!

@Warbie love it. How did you get that mottled texture?

That looks great. As above, interested in the technique you used :)

Cheers guys. If by mottled texture you mean the panels on the dome, I used chipping fluid and an airbrush. Darker layer, spray chipping fluid, lighter layer, then activate with water and flake off some of the paint with a brush exposing the darker paint beneath. Check out hairspray technique on youtube if you've not tried it (I prefer using AKs fluid tho). After than it was stippling in rust and then caking the whole thing in oils and washing away with white spirits and cotton buds. Then in with washes. It's relatively easy and quick and pretty fun. Makes lots of mess! Let me know if you want more specifics re. exactly what products were used and when. There's shed load more to do so could do some progress pics along the way.

had an interesting bring your big guns game today

That's a lot of big toys on one board. Looks great man.

Just seen these on Kickstarter. A bit expensive for what they are but a good idea.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/droptop/droptop-by-drtabletop

I know quite a few people that transfer the paint to dropper style bottles, which is cheaper to do than these generally, but can be messy and time consuming. Gives people an option...

Now, GW will change their paint bottles lol

Yea I use a pipette to do it, it is messy though you end up losing a bit of the paint it's pretty unavoidable.

@Dis86 / @katana6434 - here's a quick how-to https://imgur.com/a/yjFG0Yq

This is just to get to a decent stage pretty quick and get things on the table. There's loads of scope to go in later and pick out the cables, lights, pipes, add verdigris etc.

I made two mistakes this time round - one coat too many with the lighter grey (I think it looks better when the difference in colours on the panels is more subtle) and had a brain fart and sprayed rust onto the panels when it should have been streaking grime. Most of it came off, but it left a slightly different hue. It's not that noticeable and does the job :)

Just seen there is a magazine subscription called Mortal Realms, for Age of Sigmar.

https://www.warhammermortalrealms.com/

It's a monthly subscription service where you get some magazines and models with them. Could be worth a look for some people. Could be some value for the models vs cost.

Fauxhammer have a breakdown of the first few magazines:

Posted just in case anyone in interested.
I grabbed two just to round out my Sequitors as I had a strange number - and a little squad of Chainrasps might be nice for a horde type event in D&D :)
