Tegra X1+

I never said it was about power anyway, just how can Nintendo justify upping the power if their current console sells, the only ones interested in the upgraded versions are those in the know, and those in the know, will know the performance pales in comparison to modern consoles, so whats the point?

+1

Yeah fair enough, they managed to shift ~40m units on modified but aging SoC. Though don't some games have a few frame rate issues? An improved SoC might sort out the kinks, maintain faster FPS in handheld or higher resolutions, efficiency/battery life.

Onboard storage is surely the first to be upgraded.

I doubt we will get a new switch this year especially mid this year as we would have leaks by now and why would they release a 2nd new switch 1 year after the lite they'd be eating into their own sales

No chance of a Switch Pro, Nintendo are raking in it just now. Think how annoyed their customer base would be if they now couldn't play new games.

We aren't close to seeing a new system.

I don't think it will be a new "ecosystem" as such. I wouldn't be surprised in an effort to not be left behind by the Xbox Series X/PS5.

interested to hear about experiences with this too..
Had it since launch and frequently play it. It is a very well polished exercise game. You can either play the game or create custom exercise sets, or just tell it which muscles or muscle groups you wish to exercise and it will present you with suitable exercises. Once you start it asks a few questions about you and your goals, and then also tunes the ring and leg strap to specific strength and pace for you. I find the game to be very well thought out, with very basic exercises when you are starting and slowly unlocking more complex exercises once you go on. Any other questions, let me know.

Thanks! How would it fair for being part or wholly of an in house exercise routine? I'm thinking maybe something for me and the other half to usefor 30mins everyday for some exercise kind of thing, plus making it fun at the same time.

I use it as my only exercise at the minute, complemented by some walking. That is exactly what I do, exercise for 30 minutes a day. Only downside is it's one player only, so cannot exercise together with my other half.

Most of the exercises rely on resistance, ie the resistance of the ring itself, which is like a pilates resistance ring. Depending on difficult it increases the amount of reps, so even though one repetition looks easy, doing it 20 times, including some time holding it pressed or pulled in quickly starts working the muscles in a way I did not expect a "game" to do.

Edit: you can also use the ring offline, i.e. With the console switched off. This is called multitask mode and essentially you press the joycon stick in whilst attached to the ring and it tracks pulls and pushes on the ring, rewarding you for using it. This is good for some small exercise whilst watching TV for example.

Well I wish there were some more solid rumours, I'm looking to buy one in Feb but don't know whether to hold of until March which is what most of the trashy 'tech' news feeds seem to be stating as a likely release. Or would we have heard something from Nintendo if it was to be released so soon?
