But it's hardly in pieces, which it would be if it was hit with a missile.
Incorrect.

Not sure what to make of the plane situation. If they really are withholding the black box that is telling.
I've seen pictures online of puncture holes in the wings and body, that look like shrapnel impact marks. So if it was an accident either the engine must have exploded in mid air or small objects made these punctures on the impact explosion.
There must be a load of plane crash armchair experts on here that can verify.
Looks like it's on fire already as it's coming down. But it's hardly in pieces, which it would be if it was hit with a missile.
Not always.Looks like it's on fire already as it's coming down. But it's hardly in pieces, which it would be if it was hit with a missile.
Like I said, Congreve Rocket! Welcome to the early 19th century!
They probably warned Iraq because they needed to warn everybody that they were not aiming for!![]()
Why are people going round in circles on this? It's not going to change anything.

That's what you normally do.
I would have thought that western early warning systems would have picked up multi stage rockets?
What if the missile was already in the air and it was the planes fault. We keep saying a missile hit it but what if its the planes fault huh? Those poor missiles always get the blame! So the flight was in the air for 2m42sec and the s300 can travel up to 10,000km/h and the plane lost contact at 8km.
That means it takes 3mins for the missle to reach 8km. Doesn't add up, they would have had to fire the moment it took off. Maybe that's how they do it?

Trump strikes me as the sort who will escalate things very quickly and something like this missile strike will draw very swift and over the top retribution
I think the plane lost contact at an altitude of only 8000 feet, so it would be vulnerable to pretty much any surface to air missile with literally no warning, but especially a "manpad" and Iran has loads of those.
you really have to wonder how crazy the iranian leadership are, its not as if they are dealing with a opposition leader who will take the common sense approach and draw lines in the sand,

basically think of it as the 2 meatheads in the pub spilling each others pints except one is about 5 times the size of the other and wields several big sticks, everyone else in the bar better duck as its going to get very messy very quickly

Ah feet not km that would make sense then. Divide by 1.6. So the people firing the missile probably had about 30sec to make the desicion to fire.
