US kills Iran's General Soleimani

i said earlier on here the Americans won't do anything notice Trump's tone they have given Iran a way out and a chance to save face no one wants a war.
 
I thought everyone here said Trump wanted WW3 and was unhinged? Guys? Whats happening? Please can anyone tell me when the war is starting and what news channel it's on? Is the Guardian aware?

Always a chance the intention is to put Iran off balance - but yeah generally the vibe I'm getting is backing away from this.

The Iran deal was just to stop Iran getting a nuclear weapon we know they do bad stuff in the region but the deal was just that one issue that's why the Europeans want to keep it.

Well, Iran will be up slack alley if Trump wants to unleash the pain, but I don't see why anyone else needs to be involved.

Well obviously he's been told to dial it down by his advisors and world leaders have probably told him to calm it as well.

I thought everyone on here said Trump was doing a great job retaliating and not letting Iran's attacks go unanswered.

It looks like he is letting this one go unanswered, yet now the Republicans and his supporters are congratulating him on his restraint.

I guess he can do no wrong.

I guess his twitter threat was as empty as his head.

And what about all the taxpayer funding through the Saudi's? Why is one good and one bad?

The reality is that Iran took advantage of the Iraq war, a war we should never have bothered with in the first place, It's hardly Iran's fault they saw a way in and used it. It's far more embarrassing for the US though, 17+ years of basically giving Iran exactly what they wanted, rid of Saddam, rid of the Sunni resistance and space to breath while they successfully infiltrate every Iraqi institution.
 
Its funny reading some tweets from some Americans especially the ones with the american flag in their profile talking about turning Tehran into a car park and stuff calm down nutters no harm done only to a bit of American pride.
 
Well, good job someone has talked some sense into both sides. Maybe we can tough the rest of Trumps tenure out and then get someone in willing to actually negotiate with Iran.

Most of the stuff he comes out with is just hot air don't pay any attention.
