*** Nintendo Switch ***

I think you misinterpreted what was meant by custom

^^ This post.

Yeah I think I read that wrong.

But knowing how Nintendo have acted in the past they tend to do exactly the opposite of what anyone (and usually commonsense) would dictate, but time and again it has paid off.

A lot of noise around the Switch (since even before launch) has been asking for a more powerful version, but Nintendo released the Lite, a cheaper handheld only version which seems to have done really well.

They always make profit on the device, using higher spec components will cost more and eat into that profit, and is a Pro version really going to generate a lot of sales? If you're a hardcore CoD-type gamer and want 4K60 in the latest games Switch probably isn't for you, and I think Nintendo know that.

I don't think it's about 4k60 or features that you put in the 'gamer' catergory, it's about premium materials, Mag Alloy body, better and more robust controllers, a more premium screen with HDR support (maybe). There is a market place, that market is the people who grew up with Nintendo, and are now adults with income to waste on stupid overpriced phones, and other nonsense they are happy to part their hard earned cash for.

I think if the story of the Nintendo Switch has shown anything so far it is that adults are just as taken with it as kids, and we all know who controls the income and expenditure.

My first console was the NES and ive had every Console and Handheld since, i would buy a Switch pro in seconds.

i know its never going to happen but i want Nintendo to release a powerhouse that blows Series X and PS5 out the window, launch it with a new Mario and a new F-Zero!

that said i am also perfectly happy with the current Switch!

lol good luck trying to buy a Switch, OOS everywhere, Glad I bought mine on the day of mario odyssey (In fact the Mario Odyssey edition console)

I'm interested to see what's going to be announced at Pokemon Direct, been rumours flying about for a Pokemon Diamond/Pearl remake/Story continues.

Is there an alternative to screen protectors as i bought orzly screen protectors and messed up both of them with not having a steady hand, so their both gone in the bin snapped in half and i wasted £7. The first attempt was quite good but i could tell i had it on there as i couldnt quite line it up at the bottom. I wont be taking the console out of the house, so its just to protect it from taking it out of the dock, which apparenty used to be a proble. I seem to recall somones partner on here used to make fabric clothes that you would put over your dock to protect your switch when taking it out.

I've had my switch since launch, never had a screen protector on it and I haven't noticed any scratches. None of my friends have them either (4).

Thanks Rossi, ive never had screen protectors on phones or anything, kinda got a bit worried about damaging my screen, but i think its a minor risk as im quite consious on looking after my things.

Worse case is i damage it and send it back to john lewis as i have 2 years accidental cover.

I was too consious on having the screen protector on there it was detracting away from the game.
