Which brand new car would you choose for up to 25k

Is this us personally or for a specific use case.
If personally i would upgrade to the new ND2 mx5 from the 2016 ND1 i have currently. I might also instead look at a Fiesta ST or stretch the budget a bit and think about the gt86.

One thing is for sure it will not be some boring family car or hideous crossover.

I finished paying off my 2016 Focus ST3 about 4 months ago and now am just keeping my eyes open for what around for same price as I roughly paid for
But am still not sure if I want to sell it and buy another car or not, just keeping my options open ;)

So am just interested in what car you guys would choose for that price as there going be cars that I have not thought of

I had a Volvo V90 T8 Hybrid as a hire car a few weeks ago and it was ballistic. I was not expecting it to be the T8! Lovely car, too. Great cruiser and a fantastic interior.

Yup. I have driven a few as rental cars, and whilst it’s not the best in class, it’s a very good car. If they had similar deals on the V90 now I’d jump on it.

Nothing can touch it for the money. Like you say there are better cars in class but they'll be 2 years old not brand new for 25k.

Can't imagine depreciation will be all that nice on one though, considering what else you can have for that money (used) :p

If you are buying used Just be aware of the new Tax laws that will hit you for any car with a list price of over 40k. I have been looking at Mercedes A35 saloon in Denim Blue and with the options I want the list price is £40230. I can get one through a broker for around £36k but would be hit with £550+ tax a year for the 2-6 years of ownership. The only other car currently on the market that has grab my attention is the I30n Fastback.
