Who Said Crime Does Not Pay?

But aren't you also of the opinion that men shouldn't have their lives destroyed when they've only been accused/charged with Rape and are awaiting trial?

Swap rape with murder in that scenario and what's the difference?
Yes, but I’m not in favour of them getting offered huge record deals whilst awaiting trial. At least wait to see what the outcome is.

The real crime here is a drill artist being offered a record contract. Who on earth wants to listen to that ****? Unless you're a moronic underachiever who likes to blame everyone, especially the Conservative government, for everything negative in your life rather than looking how you step up in life.

You seem to be aggrieved.

Why?

Should everyone awaiting a trial automatically become unemployed and cease work incase that they are found guilty later and given a custodial sentence that means that their employers no longer deem them an acceptable employee?

Can you confirm that by committing crime he has been rewarded with a contract because the story linked to suggests otherwise.

Poor sensationalist thread title that is click bait, OP do you work for the papers inventing attention grabbing headlines?

You should maybe look through his racist posting history and you will then see why he posted this article.

Not really, it's pretty common knowledge that drill 'music' is deeply rooted in gang culture and songs about stabbing people shouldn't ever be made mainstream and/or accessible through a record label.

Those feeling hard done by society don't resolve their issues by joining gangs or listening to music that glorifies violence.

Drill isn't mainstream, it's still very much a niche genre.

Would you have banned NWA back in the early 90's ? What about death metal which sometimes has messed up lyrics ? stance on video games like GTA which glorifies violence ?

NWA were middle class kids who exploited the 'ghetto: to make money.

Same with snoop/Dre/insert 90s rap artist here.

They were playing roles. They didn't go out and do the things they sang about.

That's bthe the difference between gangster rap and drill

:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Where did I say it was mainstream? Surely the part where I said "it shouldn't be made mainstream" implies that I'm very well aware that it isn't mainstream.

Also your analogy is completely flawed because we're talking about the creators of the drill 'music'. Last time I checked, video game creators aren't producing games that call out rival game creators, or threatening them violence.

It worries me we have people like you making these comparisons and trying to normalise gang culture. Drill isn't music or art, it's gang members trying to intimidate each other using rap and using online platforms to deliver it to rival gangs/also getting exposure. How else are the rival gang going to get the message? They're not exactly going to drop them off a mix tape of it.
