Life after death...

it's a vivd/realistic dream...

have you ever had a dream you were being attacked or something crazy was happening that wakes you up? or after waking feeling uneasy it takes you 10 seconds or whatever to realise 'it was just a dream'?

This is a bit topic drift, but who here has experienced nested dreams?

And of those that have, how many levels down did the rabbit hole go....?

(I have certainty done level one, possibly even level two. Level three and beyond I think would **** up ones sense of reality to such an extent that Hospital might actually be required! :()

:D

Is that like dream-within-a-dream? If so then yes I have dreamt, 'woken up' from that dream, only to find that I'm still in-dream. Wake up again and then I'm back to consciousness. Levels wise, it's always just been 1 level deep for me. The dreams themselves don't have a common theme. Some good, some are nightmares.

Yep that is what I am talking about.

Level 1 is distrubing

Level 2 is scary

Level Three....!

And before anybody thinks I am being flippant or non-PC, I had a very good friend who was schizophrenic and ended up dying in a nursing home. It was horrible really. :(

Nothing happens.

But, it must be lovely thinking it does.

When I start working out the logistics of an afterlife, it just doesn't compute.

What if you were widowed early in life, but you married again, and your second wife was a lot better than your first. But your first wife was 'waiting' for you.

Surely she'd have a thing or two to say if she could reach your dreams.

Being 62 and working at 3 massive companies in my life plus all my music friends you have no idea how many people I have lost including my Mother on December 22nd.
However, it's all in the head when you dream about those you lost and it happens a lot.
Sometimes I can feel their presence but I know it's the mind.

There's a woman at work who keeps asking me if I've had a 'sign' off my Mum so yesterday I said that I have.
I said I saw a Walkers Prawn Cocktail crisp packet blow in front of me and she was confused.
I said my Mum always had a packet of Prawn Cocktail at 7pm every night.

Isn't life itself in this physical realm a slow death?
The real more permanent dimension is the spiritual dominion.
You have to decontaminate the mind to uncover the truth.
Your experiences and connections to people in this life naturally attracts their spiritual energy which can manifest themselves in dreams like you describe.
I don't want replies to this post stating there is no God.
You cant disprove the existence of God based on physical properties of this material dimension.
Life has no purpose without the existence of God and trying to ascribe humans to animals only underlines primitive understanding of the gift of human life.

Life is just a blag.

Nah I believe there are other things at play and frequencies.

We're in purgatory.

I have got to the point in life now that all you younglings only have to look forward too. :p

Both my parents are dead and my contemporary friends are starting to die off too.

However, there is an interesting phenomena that I am experiencing

In my dreams I sometimes (Not very often mind) am visited by my departed friends and parents.

It is actually a very reassuring experience mostly. Though there are also times when I would be quite happy to have remained in the dream world and never woken up....:(

Now, The OCUK bit...

What is actually happening here?

Is it some sort of quantum mechanical communication from an alternative universe?

(I do not accept the idea of communication from beyond the grave, when you are dead you Rot!)

Or is it something like, if you have known somebody for a very long time, you basically build a model of the person you know in your brain to reproduce their behaviour. In a sense a VR copy of that person based on your own experience.

So even if they are now dead, in a strange sort of way they are still alive, but only in your own brain. An sometimes you can access this model, if only in the dream world.

(Sort of like Dr Who and the Library)

Anybody else experienced this?

Any other thoughts on the matter?

Demnons.

Life after death is a strange one for me.

It’s so easy for people to say that once you die that’s it, blackness for eternity, but the worlds been here for billions of years before us.

Who decides that our consciousness wakes when it does? Where does our consciousness come from? If we can all of a sudden awake from nowhere after billions of years, what’s to say our consciousness can’t come around again after we die? And who’s to say our consciousness hasn’t woken thousands of times before over the previous thousands of years?

Anyone who categorically states what happens after you die is simply guessing. No one alive knows. We all have to wait until we make that final journey before we find the truth. And even then, if I’m right, we still wouldn’t know what had happened because our consciousness would be back in the world of the living with no memory of the death that preceded us.

It’s one of the biggest questions in the world, and no one, not even the worlds greatest minds, will ever know for sure.
