Still a great actor though
Preferable to Charlton Heston imo. Kirk was bonkers. For the read through / audition for Spartacus he apparently turned up in full costume with a sword and jumped about the room in character. Got the part.

A legend. Remember The Vikings? Loved that movie when I was kid.
It's outrageous that in later years everyone got all woke and PC and tried to claim that it wasn't a real found footage, factual documentary about actual day to day viking life.

Do you think everything that comes out of hollywood is garbage ? What films do you like ?
I judge Spartacus on the fact that instead of telling a half-decent[ly accurate] story, it has influences of pathetic American fantasies and of course many cheap one-liners etc (relative to the time) over proper writing. The vast majority of Hollywood stuff is garbage, yeah.
Oh yes. Farrah Fawcett! I never did finish watching Spartacus as a child but watched Saturn 3, 20,000 Leagues and Final Countdown to bits.
Kirk was a very charming on screen actor to watch and boy did that man leave a legacy behind.
