I'm trying to remove some double sided trim tape from the car and the trim, to renew it. The remainder of the tape is extremely stubborn and time consuming to remove. I want to get a caramel wheel as I guess one of these will rip it all off in no time. I see you can get plain and fluted ones, which one is is my best bet though?
Thanks.

I had the same issue recently with the Discovery when the new roof rack required a new roof trim. I used a plain one and it was fine.

Use iso alcohol, or petrol ect to get the tape off
Dunno about isopropyl, always seems to fail at the stronger adhesives for me. Autobrite's "just the tonic" will remove anything though. You would need to re-seal and re-wax afterwards.

Mine was a plain one, worked perfectly fine on both paint and alloys. I couldn't find a difference online between the two designs so went with the cheapest supplier I could find, not caring which design I received.

On a side note, Autobrites JTT is absolute garbage in my experience with it - like most of their products that aren't Magifoam.

Just bought the cheapest one of Amazon a few weeks ago and did the job for old wheel weight tape etc.

I tried all kinds of solvents, even the industrial glue remover we use at work. Nothing touches this foam tape. I did the same thing and ordered the cheapest one off amazon, lets hope it works.

I always use Mr Sheen, spray on, let it soak for a while and it gets rid of most stubborn residue that I've come across. Only tip is do not let it dry as that then causes further problems and you might need a couple of attempts.
