It not the the value of the wreath it the total disrespect of what it was put there for..To be fair... is a bunch of flowers really worth this much outrage? Sure, get the initial anger from the act out, then lay another wreath and get on with life.
This is from the perspective that whoever did this isn't worth the effort, and the act itself is meaningless and easily rectified.
Yes, that point was not missed. It not the the value of the wreath it the total disrespect of what it was put there for..
There some German shepherds here that could have done itAre there some old Nazis still living out in the bushes, like the old Japanese soldiers who kept fighting on those islands for years after?![]()

No youve missed what is happening. its not about being british its about how the young feel they are being treated by and the acts of the present government and are hopefully rejecting the racism that spreads from nationalism. we were not alone in fighting the Nazis for goods sake.To be fair a lot of people (particularly younger generations) hate everything this country and nationalism stands for, talk about the British Empire or our ancestors standing alone to fight against a tyrannical government which is essentially what the Nazi's were and all they will do is ignore the good and highlight any atrocities. I mean you see it on Youtube all of the time (which is the reason why most videos have comments disabled) where there's people who will argue that we were as bad as the Nazi's simply due to the Dresden bombings, like we're supposed to fight total war in which civilisation depends with our hands tied behind our backs just so that we don't offend some spoilt children 75 years later.
Yes it is, you're confusing liberation day with VE day.Im sorry but what a stupid concept/headline. 'Laying a wreath to mark another year Guernsey is occupation free'. Thats not what it is about.
No Im not.Yes it is, you're confusing liberation day with VE day.
Oh...No Im not.
That's why he was on his own to lay the wreath instead of the normal parade/celebrations.We are in a national health emergency with coronavirus (should he have even been laying flowers given the lockdown rules?)
If this happened in the UK I would agree with you, but how much work can their police really have to do right now? People are actually following lockdown and they haven't had a new case of the virus in a week.the police are having to deal with a greatly increased number of domestic abuse cases and far more serious crimes.
