Command & Conquer 4K remaster coming

This isn't C&C but somewhat similar for anyone that remembers it.

GoG are currently giving away Total Annihilation + 2 expansion packs for free which you can add here

I generally hate the whole "you need this launcher for this game" thing. Steam is no different, i just have a huge game library in there, even if only 5 odd games are installed. I would prefer one library for all games... or none. Yes, the sign in is terrible. GTA V it needed rockstar sign in, game social club and im sure some other crap. Id rather buy the game, then download it from a dodgy source so no crapola launcher is needed

Company of Heroes is a classic, the only thing since C&C to come close, one of the best RTS ever

I thought this unlocked @ 5pm but now its saying less than a hour so i assume its 6pm

Agreed, the idea behind the launcher was one place to launch all your games, its a very simple concept.

I can understand multiple storefronts that give keys to that one launcher, but everyone having their own launcher does defeat the idea of it in the first place. But I think its the same reason android is free, windows 10 is free, its about collecting people's data.
 
just had a quick go and so happy we have ultrawide support graphics great too glad i purchased.... this game is what started it all for me back in 1995
 
Argh. I made the mistake of pre loading it on my mechanical hard drive. It's got 20 mins of 'unpacking' to do. Should have installed on the SSD...

Same here Sem! My dad bought me a packard bell intel 200mhz :D
 
Haha. I think it used to struggle a little actually. It had 16mb of ram I think and onboard GPU. What a heap of junk. Before I knew any better.
 
lol so preload doesnt include unpacking.

I downloaded to a spindle so probably an hour before unpacking is done.

compressing downloads is so yesterday, I will check the size of the data to see if this unpacking stuff is worth it.
