Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Ive made about £10k (120kSEK) in the past month but now im running scared and think its time to bail again.... I dont know what im doing :P im just riding high on a wave of unpredictability.
The tax is going to catch up on me sooner or later, i need to consolidate and re-evaluate what the hells going on.

Think a lot have been calling a drop was expected on here so don't think its a surprise, some US shares were at all time highs last week.

For tax, have you used an ISA to protect from CGT?

~6%

Similar movement between the 13th & 15th May too. And currently ~7% down from the 5th June which is a much longer period, 10 days or so.

Just looking at this objectively but of course this might be a longer term change in trend. Just not losing my hat about it yet.

Retail holders will be getting very twitchy at these levels. I think there is a real chance of a domino here. If you’d bought SPY at its highs and saw such brutal red days over the past week or so, you’ll start having the ‘best preserve what’s left’ mentality.

It’s not looking good IMO. The pig-headedness of The USA administration has caused this. The numbers of covid from some states are just rocketing.

Wow big swing this morning. Has covid gone? Did I miss the news!?

My portfolio gone from -1% to up 2.5% this morning!

The news is there's no link between the markets and the news :p.
So true! Can’t complain.

Us Fed announced they would start buying corporate debts directly.

Bank of Japan offering extra financial support to businesses.

If the US fed will step in every time the stock market dips a tad.... how can we possibly loose by holding US shares!?

Real question - how are they paying for this!? And why can’t/won’t the uk do the same!?

Pretty sure we've just hit the fiat money/currency issue, and the realisation that Bitcoin that is made up of nothing and backed by nothing (other than a finite supply) will soon become the global world currency, when every country just starts printing more and more money to hide from financial devastation.

The finite supply is exactly why that isn't happening.

Clearly. News: "Despite government support, 600,000 have lost their jobs already and many more expected to be lost over the next few months as the support is withdrawn." Stock markets: "Up 3%."

It's astonishing really. Why on earth is the FTSE up so much today on no news?! It's raising some of my other shares so I can't complain but...it's not healthy.
