Bottas should have been quicker in my view.

Really happy to see George Russell getting into Q2.

Hamilton - well what can be said? Pure domination. What an awesome quali performance.

Apparently 3 place grid penalty for blocking Kvyat for Leclerc.

Yup. Ferrari have confirmed. Leclerc currently 14th. No news about the red flag infringement yet.

Really was willing for Russell to find that extra tenth and usurp the Ferraris!
This also proves that it’s not the engine that’s at fault but the entire car.

Hamilton showing once again that he’s a boss in the wet.

Yep. Rain is a partial equaliser in terms of hardware, and talent shows more. Hamilton, even with the better car has shown a larger gap to his rivals in the rain in his stint at Mercedes.

Although, last time I said Hamilton was consistent and brilliant in the wet he binned it with his first mistake in the German Grand Prix. Verstappen on the other hand did a full 360 and went on to win the race.

I thought it proved how gob-smackingly good Russell really is. I really hope he's in a Mercedes next year.

Great quali session. The commentators couldn't keep up. Norris doing very well this year so far, stepping up against his more experienced team mate.
Stoked to see Russell up there, that will mean the world to him and give him such a good boost mentally. Shame about Perez not hooking it up. Hopefully he can make his way up the pack in the race, and George doesnt lose too many places. Hamilton was very dominant, such a lead on the Q1 result to the whole pack.

I really hope Russell gets into points tomorrow, the Ferrari’s will probably take each other out so there’s a few places.

If its dry tomorrow then I would expect both mercs on soft tyres for Lewis to sprint away and for Bottas to make up the positions; assuming they get off the line... Max will have to be on softs to stand a chance I think as in the dry the car isn't as fast as the mercs to run the mediums to make the longer stint work.
