will we see a regular ipad release this year?

since lock down my ipad 2019 has been stolen by the kids. i am considering getting another one and only have a need for the basic version. i see a few things on the web about a 2020 version. Just checking here as i am not a normal apple user or close to the market. Has anyone heard any news about a possible new version?

Yeah.

Rumours are that a 10.8-inch iPad is in the works for release later this year. It’s still unclear if it’s a normal iPad or an iPad Air. I’m also waiting for this one.

They've gone with silent upgrades for iPads in the last couple of years. Just a press release.

It typically happens after the iPhone announcement if it gets updated in the fall, early Sept to mid Oct is the window. If its not out by mid Oct, I wouldn't expect it to be updated until March.
