:)Got this for the next week for a trip to Cornwall.
Basic 110 D200 in Pangea Green, white contrast roof and 18” alloys, also off road kit which gives terrain response 2, rear locking diff and off road tyres. Perfect for the M5 :D.

Interior wise is basic as it comes, cloth seats, no centre console or 6th jump seat, Carpet mats and the clearsight mirror the only options added.

PIVI pro has Apple CarPlay and the embedded system is a lot better than Incontrol. “Always on” to remove boot up time and vast range of software over the air updates beyond infotainment. Ie chassis control modules etc.

The 3D surround camera is pretty cool too.


I know it’s a bit of a marmite SUV/truck but driving it has really took me by surprise. Just feels good, the car has a character to it, it’s clearly massive but drives suprisingly well, nice turn in and response much better than a Disco 5 for example and the D200 isn’t as painful as you would think, it’s a detuned D240 so had the benefit of twin turbos.

I get it, its an off roader but you'd think they would come up with something more modern than 80esq seatbelt buckles. Infact looking at that interior its like looking at a timeline of features through the decades :D

the less said about the colour the better i think :) seeing past that its not the worst looking machine and even critique aside it looks purposeful and accessible which i guess is the intention.

They are quite narrow.

It's supposed to be simple and hard wearing, easy to repair. They are expecting the military to buy these. Not sure they are though, they seem to be just keeping the old ones forever :p

Did London kill your parents or something, Nasher? I dont think I've ever seen someone making snide comments about it so frequently.

@Jonnycoupe - really like that. Sparse but has a utilitarian feel to it (which I guess will be at odds with the RRP). When I had a nose around one at a JLR stand in Bluewater a few months ago, it looked like the entire lower portion of the interior was all hard plastic or rubber, rather than carpet, so it almost looks like it could be hosed down. My girlfriend currently treats her car like an absolute tip, so that's actually quite an appealing feature to me :D
 
Annoys me every time I see them with the early Rover 214 rear lights that had orange indicators rather than white like the later lights.
 
All XJ220's had the tango lights, unless people changed them themselves.

I saw one with Halfords special Rover 2XX series tail lights before, it made me very sad...

I know they had orange from factory. Just saying they stand out like a sore thumb to an ex rover nerd like me
