Exactly, I typically upgrade every other gen. And the thought of having 10gb vram deep into 2022/23 just doesn't compute.A few of us are thinking ahead tho to next years games and the year after that.
Not everyone wants to upgrade every gen.

I reckon in a million years time it'd be pretty much a fossil, so the price would probably be pretty high indeed by then![]()
I only want a Graphics Card for Flight Sim 2020... I didn't realise what the exchange rate was like though, I might just be able to go for a 3080 if it comes in at £600.
Yeah, that's for people who think their asses weren't already widened enough by the FE cards.
Anyone know when we can expect YouTube reviews of the cards based on previous years?
Wouldn't bother... The game is going to run poorly even on this hardware launch most likely. It's got so much going on causing performance issues. I would get a used 1080ti or something if i was you and get an almost identical experience.

They given us 2 hours for us to get over Nvidia 3000 series prices and then there going to tell us there ROG priceIt seems Asus are having a launch event 2 hours later.
If it's closer to the 3090 than the 3070 then I wouldn't be supprised if it come in for 1k.Not in a million years. It'll be £800 min.
Yes. I bought Turing for its raster performance; RTX wasn't relevant.
Well I need to upgrade my rig anyway as it struggles now with software I use, it's a 10 year old 6GB RAM i7 930 rig
Struggles with Adobe Premiere Pro as that needs 8gb minimum. I had no intention of upgrading with gaming in mind until FS2020 came out though.
1x 2080 Ti is great as it can just about maintain 4K 60fps in a lot of games but there is a few it struggles with and falls a bit short in games like the division 2 on occasions. I only need a little bit more power to make sure I can always hit a minimum of 4K 60fps in the games I want and the 3090 should more than do that comfortably.
Haven't played GTA V in many, many months but even at 4K it should still give a nice boost over one 2080 Ti as it scales decently well with 2x 2080 Ti's still.
Ray tracing performance boost is what I'm really looking forward to and the 3090 could be shaping up to be really strong at that, soon find out tomorrow though.

I play GTA V maxed out at 4K with 4x TXAA, and 2 2080 Tis struggle in areas with grass. This means that a single 3090 might also struggle.
I might go with 2 3090s in SLI, so I can almost guarantee a minimum of 60 FPS in all games at 4K.
