Hey man look, I have no doubt at all that these cards will trump the 20 series in RT and DLSS. No doubt at all. I never have. But. When you look at them in the cold light of day and ignoring all of the wizardry? like I said a couple of pages back, when something sounds too good to be true.......
Guess we'll find out if AIB cards have more VRAM soon

£649 seems pretty amazing for a card that is apparently "2x faster than 2080Ti".

Have to feel sorry for people who have just spunked £900+ on one of those cards, or are trying to sell them now (though I'd like to think anyone on the bleeding edge owning a 2080Ti would've realised that the sane choice was to cash out at least a month ago).

Just measured my case. Case only officially supports cards unto 313.6mm with front Radiator installed. 3090 is 313. In reality about an inch between end of card and my front 280m radiator cooling my 3900XT. Will that inch be enough? :)

Looking at the raw Tflops and ignoring the RT and tensor cores (which are for RT and DLSS, something lots of games do not support) the 3090 has 36 Tflops. The 3080 has 30 and the 3070 has 20.

The 2080Ti has 28.5.
I think you are confused. You are comparing the FP16 figure for the 2080Ti to the FP32 figures for the 3000 series cards.

I ride but nothing special, my mate always says the optimal number of bikes is N+1, N being the number you already own. I have to sell my second as haven't used it in 4 years and it could fund something more fun such as a 3070 for my second PC.

Yeh, the new gravel bike would have been my +1, it'll have to wait until next year now!

I've had my 1070 since March 2017, been a great card TBH.

I actually caved and bought a 2070S for £475 a few months ago, against my better judgement.

Lucky for me the transaction failed and I came to my senses!

Phew, I'd be regretting that now, looking at the 3080 for £650.
Wow, your budget shot up like mad. Nvidia doing their thing :D

If the 3070 matches 2080Ti then definitely the 3070 if price is a concern.

My 2080Ti doesn’t have much issue with 1440p 144hz one reason I’m a little reluctant to upgrade as I’d ideally need a new monitor :p.
I know I'll just want to upgrade again in 2 years cos im strange like that. Time to list the vega64
