Buy series x x xbox, sell PC

Buy 3080 and stick it in 3700x with B350F PCI 3.0 mobo and don't by series x

WHICH one would be the most regretful?

Why would you need to sell your PC to buy a console? Run out of wall sockets?

Depends when you bought it, I only got mine a year ago, so will definitely be hanging onto it for a while

The marketing is weird, but honestly it's the VRAM amounts that put me off, it's almost planned obsolesence. The 3070 is "faster than a 2080Ti" but comes with almost a third less VRAM.

It depends need to see people benchmark games that use a lot of vram and see if its a problem

Is everyone getting a 3090 gaming at 4k? I've recently got 2 1440p monitors and it feels like a stupid decision now.

Yeah, very clever pricing by Nvidia, I may just go for that to be honest. At least I can have a bit of early fun on the 17th when they come out if I go in that direction.

And no issue with the 'only' 10GB of vram?

Could I get by with an RTX 3080 and a 650W gold Seasonic PSU?

I’m in the same boat. I want a 3080 but may have to go for a 3070 because of my power supply.

You are only getting them this cheap because AMD has a nvidia killer or because Samsung 8nm is stupid cheap.

People that fall for that "marketing" would have to be totally clueless of previous launches, a ti version is a certainty and the gap in price between 3080 and 3090 confirms it. Probably a 16 gig ti card come Jan\Feb.

It looks exactly like that will happen alright , maybe 20gb though.

Digital foundry has hands on with the rtx 3080. Up to 180% performance of the 2080 on Control & shadow of the tomb raider at 4k

Standard ones 250 I'd say and the higher oc ones up to 300. Least I hope I get closer to 300 for my Gigabyte OC Gaming!

I feel for the guy who just bought a 2080 Super for £460.. ouch! I wouldn't pay more than £300 personally now IF the 3070 offers 2080 Ti + performance.

The 3080 is cheaper than I had thought, and I was prepared to spend that on the GTX 1080 back in the day and ended up paying £719 for the Ti.... depending on performance I'll bite at the 3080.

Nvidia mentions it's 2x a 2080 meaning I believe it to be anywhere between 60-100% better therefor I am standing my ground and believe this to offer at least 30% better performance than the 2080 Ti... i'll eat my words if it doesn't -_-
