NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Why does every one on internet forums immediately assume one is annoyed? I'm not. I am just being a realist. What do any of these cards offer me personally? nothing ! nothing at all that I can't do now.

As for looking at it selfishly? sorry man, didn't know I had to take every one else into account when I give *MY* opinions LOL. Why would I buy a card designed for 4k when I have three 1440p displays? would be rather silly, wouldn't it?

I just don't do all of the promises and the BS dude. Been a gamer for 40 years, and for the past 20 hardly anything has improved with the games. In fact, they have gotten notably worse. Do you think this will improve games? make them better? or just make them look better?

Answers on a postcard please.

I repeat, my Xb1x (which is old now) can run RDR2 at 4k 30 FPS which is more than enough for that game. They would not launch games that you could not play.

As for RT? oh boy ! I can't wait to render this big mess at twice the FPS ! oh goody gumdrops /roll eyes.

The bottom line fella? that does not inspire me. At all. In fact, it was so off putting I disabled it. Can you now understand why I am not terribly exciting and shaking with joy? 4k and RT. I repeat, 4k and RT. Neither of which apply to me, or I particularly like.
Didn't expect a response as you didn't reply to queries about the co-processor.

Excellent video - no reason to doubt this so ranges from 70-80% increase in performance Vs 2080 in a number of games. Not extensive but the best guide service for so far. Seems like a great upgrade for my 1080ti.

Seems similar to Pascal,ie,that was the increase of the GTX1080TI over the GTX980TI.

Sorry. Thread has been kinda hectic as you probably noticed.

I got an answer as to why it is doing that, FWIW.

The grain is due to the 'sampling' resolution it has to do for raytracing, as more samples are possible (at reasonable framerates) it should lessen or disappear entirely. Realtime raytracing is still very early doors but it isn't about to go away. Another few more card generations and I predict it becomes the norm just because it makes building games easier than rasterizing (and devs are lazy people)

Doesn't exactly fill me with hope. Oh yeah sorry forgot :D

Seems the co processor may be out, as no mention seems to have been made.
