NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Hm, seems to be mounting evidence of a 3070ti with 16gb ram. Can't be much more than the 3070 surely as their isnt much of a window between that and a 3080.

In fact thats going to be a really difficult card to wedge into the market.

At £550, it sort of makes the 8gb 3070 look expensive in comparison, but also that seems too close to the £650 price of the 3080.

Really isn't much space, price wise for a card between them.

A few generations back I recall a time where gpus were released and there was disparity between cuda cores between skus. Later on Nvidia filled those skus with Ti variants leaving those who bought 1070, for example, to buy 1070 ti just to get the performance they should have had from the beginning. So I created this chart to keep track of this.

I see the same thing with vram. There is a disparity between 8/10GB vram and 24GB vram. And the notion that there won't be more vram added using existing skus simply comes off as impossible. Again, those with a 3070 re-buying 3070 just to get the vram they should have gotten from the beginning.

Sure, I'm speculating. However, I'm only speculating based on what Nvidia has done in the past.

I guess the goal would be to beat AMD to the market and make as much profit as possible, before having to give us what they are supposed to once AMD respond.

I truly can't stand that guy, he might well be presenting facts (I have no idea) but he's such a sanctimonious **** it's unbearable.

Haha, He’s the only one I watch the videos of and can stand. I generally don’t use YouTube as a source though, I prefer articles.

Wonder how this is gonna fair on a vertical mount? Suppose it wouldn't be so bad in a lian li o11d with the side mounted fans using a vertical mount.

Do you mean vertical as in the Silverstone FT series or upright as in desktop and HTPC cases? The former is going to be very tricky as it will exhaust hot air just below the CPU cooler. The latter will also be very tricky if an AIO isn't being used.
