NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Everyone who has a CPU tower air cooler is in panic mode, AIO sales about to sky rocket

cant imagine it being a massive issue. Most AIB models will dump all there heat into the case which will rise anyways to the CPU area. In the case of the 3xxx FE a fair bit of it will get expelled out the back by the fan by the shroud anyways so overall should be less heat being dumped into the case.

I haven’t had a FE card before so that’s what I’m going for, usually I’d pick EVGA or MSI but not this time.
You know these boost clocks like a overclock version in real world how much extra gain would you see in fps im only guessing not a lot its the only thing thats sort of pulling me towards something like the trio x gaming card that and the cooling is brilliant on those msi triple fan trio models

Give up air coolers? Never!

what are people going for im still thinking msi trio x 3080

Nothing until I see reviews, planning out a new build soon but typically spend a few months ordering piecemeal. Atm thinking about the core PSU / Case / Mobo; highly likely to be a B550 and will see what zen3 brings. GPU will decide on in december / january I reckon. On paper 3800 looks good, but 5700xt is still absolutely fine until next gen console ports start hitting.

AIO’s are the same if you have them roof mounted. Majority of the heat from the GPU if you have an AIB gets exhausted through it rising CPU temps.

Majority of the heat id have thought will go out the back of the card anyway.

If you can afford a 3080 fair enough, its a shame the 3070 doesnt have more vram otherwise I think more would have settled on that.

Great improvement in tech. But as a 2080 owner, i feel sick. :D. Feels almost like someone scammed me.

"I felt a great disturbance in the 2000's sales. As if millions of cards cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened":p
I just bought a 2060 for our machine that my wife has taken ownership of recently! Luckily we hadn't opened it and it's still in the return period. Phew.
