With in a few minutes of starting a game my pc either freezes or resets. I've tried with/without the gfx card to eliminate it.

I'm sometimes getting a q code 02.
The reason for posing in the temperature section is at idle my cpu is around 60c and goes up to around 90c when I start a game.so i was was wondering if it could be a temperature problem.

4790k CPU water cooled 4fan radiator (hoovered last night)
Asus maximus rog motherboard

That does sound like a cooling issue.

I assume this isn't a new build and the problem has only started recently?

I assume this is an AIO cooler and not a custom water cooling loop?

It could be that the pump had gone in the AIO or that the fluid has dried up. Gamers Nexus recently did a video mounting AIOs, I think there's even a thread on the forums about it, but with a 480 rad I don't suppose there are many mounting options.

Pictures may be helpful to diagnose further.

It's about 4yrs old

And it is a custom loop

Pump works I can see the rpm change I'm the software when I turn the the speed up and down and the pump noise is audible
Also the case is a thermal take p5 so no airflow issues
What pics would like to help?

Interesting - if not the pump it is possible your blocks are gunked up, especially if the loop hasn't been flushed in a few years. What liquid are you using please?

Another possibility is that the TIM is dried up, which would be easier to check and fix.

Finally - if the CPU is delidded the replacement TIM (liquid metal) may no longer be doing a good enough job.

Ive never done a flush .

I think I may of found the issue.

The water block is a xspc raystorm the plastic part that the screws go through to mount the block , the lower holes is in about 6 different bits

I just need to find another block

Wow! Second hand blocks can be really good value - maybe take a look at the members market
