NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

People keep forgetting pixel density apparently, so those with large TV's at 4k have the same or less PPI to those with smaller 1440p monitors..

PPI isn’t much of an issue with a 4K TV though as you tend to sit further away from it.

I’m a sofa gamer and there’s no going back to a monitor for me.

depends on a person im sitting 1.5 meter away from my TV in my cinema/console room on sofa

Not sure why everyone is so obsessed with 4K gaming, personally I find 3440x1440 Ultrawide a far more immersive experience than retaining the old 16:9 aspect but with a higher res.

Also has the benefit of being far easier to drive than 4K and with high-refresh panels more readily available.
My preferred resolution for gaming also. 4K was nice but UW I much prefer.

I am intensely unbothered about 4-slot GPUs, though I'm surprised and amused that they only have two slot plates. What caught my eye were the six video outputs: three DP and three HDMI. @GIGA-Man will they all be usable?

I've gone over the spec again to be sure, while all the ports work independently. The NVDIA cards only allow support for four displays at once. This means you can use the ports in any combination of four you wish.

Sorry for misleading answer yesterday, I've edited the post.

Are marketing for major AIBs like politicians and out of touch with how things are? They honestly think those spending 3070/3080 money have immature gawdy tastes?!

I only use my monitor for mmo and fps and M+K Critical games otherwise it goes on the tv as the visuals are far superior. I really struggle with a controller for anything remotely fps otherwise I’d likely use it more often. Nothing comes close to 4k OLED quality though. The difference is staggering.

However I do really miss my 4k 60hz monitor which had some really fun times playing modded Skyrim back in the day.

Gibbo just posted this update in the main sales thread, so there will be actual stock on 17th but possibly not much...
@Gibbo, it's a bit early this week really but starting early next week on Monday there should be some public info to the valued customers posted so we know what to expect, from logistics point of view that should have some overtime done over the weekend preparing the stock for Thursday launch...

Lol who do you think you are that a company should work overtime so people can get a GPU? How about you just wait like everyone else and you’ll get one when it’s ready?

What the hell are you talking about? They’re not delivering or stocking the new GPUs slower because of their staff/working hours.

It’s down to Nvidia release and launch times, along with logistics from board partners to retailers. Gibbo is giving info out as and when he gets it to the public, which is more than most retailers do.

The lack of stock level figures and overall info has sod all to do with OcUK. I’ve seen some of your posts the last few days, and you seem way out of line and pretty clueless. So I’d calm down.
