NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Sticking with my 1070 till the dust settles and everyone has set there stall out

if i am going to spend £500 quid on a card i want to be sure it will last awhile

@smogsy your wife subs very similar to mine. We share a lot of interests though so we spend a lot of time together. I think I'm very lucky!

I don't think i could justify spending that amount of money i spent 1100 pounds on the 2080ti and told myself i would never spend that kind of money again you could but the 3080 a Playstation 5 and have 300 quid left over the 3090 is for people who just like to show off they will be posting their benchmarks on these forums as if anybody cares.

Nah dude get the 3090. Give her a plastic bag.. when she asks just explain the fact that technically the plastic bag is superior in comfort and volume such as the 3090 being superior in speed.

Plus from my experience the handbags I have bought my wife tend to last less than the 2 years a top of the line graphics card does anyway

Yeah in same boat and coming up from 1080ti planning to skip 4000. I'm gonna stick with my 1440p UW + valve index for the foreseeable though so your use case probably makes it more worthwhile.

How often do you sit admiring the aesthetics of a graphics card? It’s a tool, maybe consider paying more attention to the results of what it’s designed to do then you don’t have be offended my it’s physical design.

I think they look amazing, clean, stylish and not designed by a child, and that MSI you linked I think is disgusting with awkward angles and no real design philosophy I can see other than oh lines and angles sell!

They look 100 times better than the plastic RGB trash the AIB have come up with. Plus with all the previous experience I have had with FE boards, they will be much, much higher quality and using better components than the AIB reference boards are but feel free to spend £150 more on a ugly AIB board. Its your money.
