NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

If it at the very least doesn't match a 2080ti, Nvidia will be slaughtered by everyone. They very confidently stated, faster than 2080ti.
Faster in Ray tracing but i dont think they mentioned anything about raster performance, not actual figures anyway.

If the 3070 is a true 2080 Ti level card heck even exceeding it at times I must be the only one to buy one for 4k.. I've had Titan Xp a few 1080 Tis all of which I have paid £650+ regardless of the 8gb Vram the 3070 should still be a good 35% faster than the best card I've ever had ( Titan Xp ) so for £469 I would quite happily turn settings down from max to ultra/very high and I'm sure I'll be hitting 60+ FPS... either way i am much nore excited about Ampere than I was Turing... so yea call me mad but if the 3070 can do 4k60 at very high settings I'll bite and then I just might get the 3080 Ti when it's launched next year....

SOTTR caches if there is enough memory. It also only used 8GB on an 8GB card with no noticible time frame issues or stuttering. So it will be absoultely fine. This is the problem with people looking at the fact it uses a lot of RAM cause it can and actually what it needs. And not sure why you think you can't get UHD without DLSS or anything at 60fps. it has shown on a 2080Ti at 4k with raytracing ultra settings and DLSS off the average is 41fps, with DLSS on with that card it gets 57fps. I would say the 3090 will be just fine with it's grunt to get over the 60fps with DLSS off at 4K in that title just as I expect the 3080 would too.

Looks like someone has posed that to make the cabling look bad - with a bit of cable management it wouldn't be so bad though it isn't ideal.

It really wouldn't be hard to clean those cables up and could do it better with the PSU manufactures adaptors much better too. Once people go cablemod and similar it wont be a problem. The card itself I still think looks great in the machine.

Not a change that the 3090 will be able to run max settings without DLSS.

Here is one I just did using a single RTX Titan at stock.

You can see the settings I used above, have a go yourself.

As I said above the 3090 would have to be 3X as fast as a 2080 Ti to get acceptable fps on those settings, this is not going to happen.

You can't hide 2 cables coming out the middle of the gpu. You can cable tie them or get a nice cable sure, but that's still a fugly card and a dumb position for the power connector.
