NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Agreed it was the last card to bring the biggest performance to the table at not a shockingly high price, I mean £800 was expensive for the amp extreme but there was cheaper so the way I see it the best thing to do is wait for me at least.

Obviously people coming from a 1080 and lower will see it as a bargain considering the stupid pricing of the 2080ti and it's this what all the hype is about, nothing to do with performance, they see it as performance because it will be over double the performance of a 1080 just not a 1080ti, I don't believe it after seeing results.

Not sure if I've read your post wrong there but did you mean double the cuda cores? If so I think people have misunderstood this too, They've put double the cuda cores but they are not seen as double physical cores just they can do 2 instructions now between the 2 if I'm not mistaken, this is also misleading from Nvidia but this is what happens when your dominant in the market, If they are not careful they will end up like Apple and if that happens then, well could be a nightmare for the PC as a whole unless AMD surprises everyone, The PC needs competition between hardware manufactures the consoles don't.
I did mean cuda cores! Interesting, so are they not double just they can do twice as much per clock. Hmmm still double but yet seems a bit misleading. I didn’t know!

ok, show the proof youtubers get binned gpu's. as i said the other day when you posted this it has been disproved a few times by some youtubers buying gpu models and getting withing margin of error results of other users. or are you claiming they are all in it together now ?

YouTubers get these cards early by asking Nvidia can they send them one for review similar to DF, mainly the regulars J2C, GN, Tom's Hardware to name a few, Why do you think results have been delayed? It's nothing to do with shipping crap, there's reviewers who have them already I've never even heard of, take a look on YouTube.

Well let's see when they do review them because you can bet your ass all reviews make an attempt to OC them to see how far they go, let's see what theirs clock to and then in the future when people purchase the lower priced models hitting the shelves let's see what they clock to.

In an attempt for YouTubers to tell consumers how far X card can OC is misleading to a potential customer as well, it's been going on for years.

Seems fishy...

Yes I saw it in a video, can't find it now, I'll have a search but yes apparently it is double the cuda cores but like a HT of CPU if that makes sense, so it's not double the performance, misleading to say the least if you ask me.

so thats a no on actual proof then and just you're opinion, just let it go you got a crap 1080ti that wont oc as well as you'd like.

as for the delay yeah, id expect it more to be a driver issue than a shipping issue. BUT hardware unboxed and other aussie's have had issues before with parts showing up later than everyone else so theres a chance it could be true, but again il say its probably a driver issue.

Well of course I have no proof they won't send me one lol, It's not the first time it's happened, it's called cherry picking.

Have you seen how many 2080tis are going for about 500-600 quid on eBay. These people have made a historic loss in money ever on a gpu. If I had a 2080ti I would not sell it but cry in the corner, but then I would probably sell as these people must have serious BANK!

I mean, I sold my 2080ti, I didn’t see it as a historic loss as such, I saw it as a cheap upgrade (£100) as I sold mine for £550. Yes, they’ve lost money, but the equivalent price of entry to upgrade has also come down. It seems quite relative to me.

Buying something worth £1200 that drops to £600 after 2 years, and that sees so much regular use, is hardly a staggering financial loss in the grand scheme of things. Depreciation on other electronics is worse.

Nice positive spin on the matter. Of course you could have just been sensible and bypassed the 2000 series and lost nothing, which would have paid for the 3080 ironically.

another day,
another price increase :)
as i sad by 17th all prices will be above 700 due to resellers greed :)

You should have Palit on there as well.

The base model was at £639 originally, it's now £689!

Maybe include warranty length as well, reason being Palit only give a paltry (and frankly insulting) two years.

Who in their right mind would buy (at current pricing) one of these at £689 when Zotac offer a five year warranty and at £649.

Yeh, I'm aware that pricing is likely (will) to change, but the warranty won't.
