NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Well my preference tomorrow is the MSI Gaming Trio X - As it is an overclocked card, I am hoping it is not high on the list for people.

But otherwise I am going to be refreshing the page constantly on about 3/4 different cards to get one.. If that fails then I will just purchase a 3090.

You do know the name of the store and forums are 'overclockers.co.uk' right?!

Can someone please explain to me why Custom cards are £150 more ? My understanding is all the Nvidia Chips are the same across the board and the only thing different is the heatsinks used on the custom cards and some RGB lights or have I got that Wrong ?

Founders edition is £650 ! How can you charge £150 200 more for some lights ? I'm confused.

Supply and demand. The FE cards have way better coolers too by the sounds of it but will probably sell out quickly. Thats leaves the aftermarket sellers open to sell for what they want. I expect some of the 3080s from Asus and EVGA will sell for close to 1k

Usually better binning (although recent leaks suggest current yields aren't great bins anyway). But it normally comes down to better cooling and higher overclocks. That being said, the performances gains are in single digits, not double. I'd normally recommend going for whichever brand has the best after sales support as opposed to higher clocks.

Plenty of them went up...Zotac by 10, Giga Master by 50, Inno3D as well by 20 I think, Asus Tuf...
Ah shame. I guess no chance of me buying from here now then. Was thinking I may go Zotac if it is in stock at £649, but that is off the table now.

Gibbo does love the price gauging. Stock is likely not enough to satisfy initial demand, he did his number crunching and knows they will sell at the higher price regardless so gauge mode engaged! Toni will give him a nice bonus so you can upgrade his Ferrari. Can't blame the guy :p

I aint paying a penny more over the 649£ FE
Exactly.

And if Nvidia fail to deliver and stock runs out in a few minutes during the F5 frenzy, then I won't bother at all until November and see what's what then.

Lol these AIB cards rocketing up in price... Such bad price gouging, not even gone on sale yet.

I'm not paying anything more than £649 for the FE! Tbh I'd prob go £10-20 max more for a decent partner card and that's my limit. ;)

Wouldn't be surprised if by 2pm tomorrow we're staring at 3090 prices... :o

Zotac up £10 (now £659)
Asus TUF up £50 (now £699)
Aorus Master up £50? (now £799)
Aorus Extreme now £830
MSI Gaming X Trio now £830 (think gone up £50 again?)
Palit models now £720+ which is laughable

Oh man. I was keen on the Gaming X Trio at 750. Not so much at 830

Inno x3 £30 haha, tell me, if there's stock how do prices change a day before release, says it all really.

Ill put money on they only just got this stock and confirmed prices,.

I reckon anything that has gone up this week they will have stock tomorrow. Anything that hasnt changed in price, they wont have stock.
