I have a 2018 qled and all the reports I read on av forums say that freesync works over HDMI with the 2000 series Nvidias if you switch on freesync ultimate on the TV then in the nvidia control panel tick the box for gsync and untick the supported display.

Im ordering a card on Thursday so can confirm then.

The Corsair HX520 was launched back in 2006 so is ancient now. It has a 480w 12v rail, not 520w and isn't even 80+ bronze rated. Why risk a stupidly expensive graphics card with a old underpowered psu? If you can afford one of these new cards you can afford a decent replacement psu.
