OcUK Ampere RTX3000 series review thread

I think they said the Power Slider in AB is 115% Max, they need make it at least 120% to get 2050-2100mhz Core and if it really runs 61-72C (not even a really high fan RPM) there is headroom.

Can it underclock like Vega 64 and gain performance though which i highly doubt as these seem to be pushed within an inch of there life.

The main upside to these cards is the 4k performance which has increased over the 2080ti by around 30% with a huge price drop for the performance.

I'm waiting to see the same thing, but only way to tweak voltage is through OC scanner which hasn't been updated yet supposedly. I guess we'll find out in a week or two.

I think that the fact people are comparing this card to the 2080Ti shows just how powerful it is. It isn't the 2080Ti competitor though that's the 3090, this cards competition and comparison should be the similarly priced 2080 Super, which it blows out of the water.

When the RTX3090 is released what are you going to be comparing that to if you think the 2080Ti competition is the 3080 ?

Just OC the 2080ti, from the GN review the 3080 is not all that. And the power draw on 8nm damn....

Near end of DigitalFoundry Video.

Power usage to do that certain frame.

1440p results are shocking, average increase compared to 2080 Ti is 15-25% from the reviews I have seen. Also, the RT performance gains are tiny. I expected all this though, I could see right through Nvidia marketing.

EDIT: Gets worse - very small overclocking headroom. But then who would want to with 350W power draw at stock.

Looks a decent upgrade for 1080Ti 4K users. The Hardware Unboxed review seems quite fair. Value per frame on par with a 5700XT. Better than I expected but not great if you're coming from a 2080Ti.

Definitely gives AMD a shot at being competitive...
