What do I know, there it is

$69 a game in America or €79 in Europe... That's got to be a mistake surely?!
It's not first party games $70 though some less e.g. spider man and sackboy.

It's been rumoured awhile the games will be higher cost wise, so probably means amazon, game collection etc will sell them at £55-60 I suspect title depending

Good luck with that digital version with games about £70. That where they are trying to get their money back thrn

I assume game sharing will still work though? I have done digital all generation as they’re effectively half price if you’ve got a mate who wants the same game.

Exactly why I think the disc version makes sense in the long run. That £90 saving will be made up easy over the life of the console...

I can't see Sony selling many digital consoles myself, cost too close to disc version and digital store prices too much for the average parent to pay imo

Series S will due to cost and game pass

Most parents though will just see the £90 difference at point of purchase. They'll not be looking at future game prices.

Most parents will go into their local store to ask for a ps5 for little johnny for xmas and the store employee will push the parent towards the disc version because if they dont they are shooting themselves in the foot and putting their shop out of business

Possibly but when they realise they can't pick a game up off shelf and walk out with it I think most parents will then think hang on... This is gonna cost me far more long term

Do most parents know how much digital games are on the store though? I reckon not. They may be in for a shock when they get home. And then take the console back to the shop. :D

If I buy last of us PS4 and the disc version will it work ? Want to wait until I’m able to play it at 4K as I’ve still got stock PS4 and getting a oled tv soon to pair with PS5

and little johnny wants to open his presents christmas day and put the disc in his ps5 and play, not wait till its boxing day for the game to download

A couple of other things to note

1) The PS5 supposedly has Wifi 6, Xbox has Wifi 5 and
2) The PS5 has a USB-C port, Xbox doesn't.

Looks like it's going to be on PlayStation plus on launch so no need to buy it
