3080 Stock Situation - Possible Update Later Today

Hello all,

Like many of you, I was ready to order a 3080 at 14:00 yesterday. By 14:35, after fighting the website crashes, I had my order in place. Knowing how late I was compared to some people, I sent a web note late last night asking about stock because I noticed on the MSI Trio (the one I purchased) it had an ETA of today when I ordered it.

I received a reply this morning stating Overclockers will be sending emails out to everyone who has preorders pending, so hopefully we’ll all be getting some good news later today!
 
Thanks for the update dude. Ordered my trio at 14:30 didn't manage to check out till 15:09 because of crashes:( Order status changed to Order received - not yet shipped. I know the ETA was today for stock but I have a feeling it is going to have a huge backlog. Fingers crossed on some good news later from OC later.
 
I'll wait till next year now, only at 1440p anyway. I snagged a brand new 2080 super for £450, not entirely sure if that was good, seemed good considering it is sealed. It is for a Z490 Aqua build.
 
Came here to ask this question - Managed to get an order submitted about quarter past 2 yesterday, but didnt get the confirmation email until just before 6pm. Order on my account is at the "Order received - not yet shipped" stage also.
Spent 40 minutes on the phone this morning trying to get through to ask someone but they just cut me off.
Guess we've just got to wait to see if a dispatch email.
 
Mine says the same order received - not yet shipped, mine didn't go through till 3:18, no email though. I know I won't be one of the 1st lucky ****ers but I'd at least like more information on orders, wouldn't be to bother if it wasn't for the fact they took the money
 
Order received - not yet shipped. I ordered mine in at 5pm because i had two orders fail on me. I'm hoping we get some kind of update because I have not received any email and money has been taken out.
 
anyone else had an email from OCUK saying they will be waiting for a while? why advertise it being delivered it tomorrow if you can't do it?

I get that it is in demand. but surely just stock and sell? I placed an order when it was "In Stock" which it obviously wasn't!

I'm not impatient but it makes no sense to promise so much and under deliver?

Just say you haven't got the cards?
 
Yeah I just got the email too. I guess they'll just send the card out the moment they come in. I'm pretty hopefully seeing as I got my order in just after 2pm but it would be nice if they gave us at least some indication of time frame.
 
yeah i got my order in at 2:04 so would be good to know when its likly to be shipoped am i going to be waiting 2 1 week or 8 ? how far down on the list can i bee if i ordered at 2:04.
i have no idea what the numbers are have they got 1000 of the strix orders to be filled but only have 100 cards ? whats the ratio

The've also taken my money which I'm not happy about, that's not right.
 
If they're saying "it'll be sent out first come, first served, so please keep your place in the queue", shouldn't we be told where we are in the queue so we can make that decision? If you're 12th in the queue, you might want to wait, where as if you're 280th, you're probably going to want your money back to go elsewhere.

Are we going to be told where we are in our respective card's queues?
