Higher number = lower in the queue, I finally managed to order at 4.51pm on the 17th, your order number is 5000 higher than mine... But not every order will of been for a rtx 3080.

Would it not be the lower your number the lower the queue? As I'd assume the order number per order increases rather than counts down, this seems true to me considering I ordered my card 20 mins after launch and people that ordered hours after me have much higher numbers in their orders.

For people who want to get an estimate on where they might be in the queue use this: https://dotinglatefrontend.deadmonstor.repl.run/ Made by @DEADMONSTOR.

Just bear in mind that it's based on the assumption that order numbers dictate your position in the queue and uses the 200+ user submissions of which GPU brand they purchased. That may seem like a decent sample size but considering ~10k orders were submitted on the 17th of September alone the reality may differ. thanks just tried it and gave me a queue number of 28...went with a Palit (non OC) as its one of the very few it would fit in my case.

I also submitted my detail info as well.

I'm also not sure why people think all orders started on 5860000 that day.

I'm not sure that bit is true. I have an order from the 9th which starts with 585.

We've seen someone who bagged an order at 14:01 with an order number of 586018x so it's pretty close to 5860000, maybe 5860100 but for the sake of rough estimates it's close enough.

Yeah, that's how I've been looking at it (and you can see that it seems to work, based on the graphs from earlier and what everyone else has been chatting about this whole thread).

Though I think the first datapoint was ~18X at 14:01, so there's a little room there.

@KentMan
1 - inflating prices at checkout
2 - stating delivery windows that are impossible to meet
3 - poor communication to those who are looking to buy right now
4 - taking payment and holding funds potentially for months

1, they shouldn't have any prices public at all til launch and should have had the inflated price from the get go, they were the only place who had prices from the start and kept adjusting them upwards before they even went on sale.
2, yea at least now they're getting rid of it but holy damn was that bad and then said they changed it 4pm but website didn't update for hours, didn't realize it was so heavily cached and I wish I knew more about web I'm purely software so it still doesn't sound right to me but I got no knowledge on the area so I just got to take their word on it.
3, they got a sticky thread and trying to communicate the best they can but it really feels like nvidia has them under their thumb and telling them no for transparency for some reason but hey nvidia pulled anti-consumer embargo times so no surprise right?
4, hit/miss I get why they would some retailers (just in general) do it, same time OcUK feels like it is so big they really shouldn't have to take payment and hold onto the funds.

That makes sense to me, I got my order in about 24 mins into launch exact and had a 58604XX number.

I want to believe this as it gave me a place of 8... But no point in getting my hopes up. My only hope is to get it by Cyberpunk 2077, anything before that is a bonus

I purely went for the MSI Trio card because it's availability at the time of order (15:25) showed the 18th September. It's pretty frustrating knowing that if I went for a less popular card I could potentially have it sooner, in fact I believe the only reason this card sold the most is because by the time the OC site came back online it was the only card showing the earliest date of availability, bit ******.

Msi trio x gaming
Ordered at 14:08
Order number: 58602xx

I've seen a couple of posts here claiming that if you take off the 586, whats left is your place in the queue. Meaning I would be in the 200's? Is this backed up by an admin? Is that im in the 200's for my card specifically? Or for all 3080 orders? Thanks in advance!

One of the 1st orders at 14:01 ends in 0180. You should be less than 100 in the queue.

From a publisher perspective the message they just got was that thousands upon thousands of gamers were not prepared to wait for an AMD release, so fully supporting Nvidia tech in the games makes a lot of sense.

Beyond that they will not care too much how well Nvidia stocked the pipeline, just that the demand was off the chart.

Publishers will turn away from PC if PC users stop buying, short term supply issues don't really register on their radar.

I think you're forgetting the PS5 and XSX run on AMD CPU's and RDNA 2 not Nvidia tech. Don't think they'll bat an eyelid about this launch.

MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio
Order number 58632xx
Time 15:26

Also done the calculator thing linked on here too and giving me an queue position of 638 for this card.

First time being in this position of ordering a card on launch so no idea what to expect. Any idea on how long it would take to fulfil this order? October? November?

Thanks
