I managed to pick up a pre order at Argos when they released more around 10:30 yesterday for someone at work who wants one for her son, she’s literally the least tech savvy person I’ve ever met. Sister called me today to ask if my nephew wants one for Christmas, he told me he didn’t as he plays his pc now but I know he will want one come Christmas so now I’ve got to keep a look out for another one. I’m not even getting one but somehow I’m the one going through the hassle of finding them!

I'm not an expert on these things but if your TV has HDMI pass through then you could plug the optical into that right? That's what I do with my Sonos playbar which is an optical connection

I was really impressed by Demon Souls, it was definitely the best looking game in the price announcement video.

I've never played a Soulsbourne game as I've always heard they are hard as nails and you die repeatedly which doesn't sound that fun. I only have limited gaming time so don't like replaying the same difficult portions of games over and over.

In reality how tough are they and if you die a lot do you have to backtrack or are save points fairly regular?

Not played the orginal, but if Bloodborne is anything to go by it will annoy you.

Well at least you won't have to endure the loading screen every single time you die.

If dying and repeatedly replaying sections you’ve already passed through annoys you, then avoid. Unless you can get it in a sale in future. I got past the first tutorial boss on DS3 and got bored. Just felt like a waste of my time. Edit. Took me a good hour and a half of deaths/retries to finally kill him.

Yeah it's tough at first when you are weak but it's all about levelling and armour/ weapon upgrading. The loop is pretty similar in all Soulsbourne games. Not for everyone but personally I love it. The setting and lore in Demon's Souls is great.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this so apologies in advance if not. I have pre ordered a PS5 for launch but before then I need to retire my old 1080p tv from about 10 years ago. I already have a nice expensive OLED as a main tele so dont really want to break the bank on an additional premium set. Ive never played at 120 fps before however, im aware my budget of around £500 - £600 is not going to get me HMDMI 2.1 and 120 hz refresh rate. My question is should I just go for a entry level 4k tv and accept im only going to get 60 fps or should I go for a 4k 120 hz, knowing that ill only be able to reach 60 fps at 4k? Does anyone know if the ps5 will run 120 fps at sub 4k resolution if I have a 4k tv? so many questions such little time. Feel free to offer suggestions if you know of any good bargains... thanks

In all honesty I can't see much hitting 120fps, you might get some indy titles and maybe the odd fps but most will be 30fps to 60fps at 4k.

Most of the AAA Sony titles would benefit little from 120fps and would be at the cost of graphical quality, not going to happen.

Afriad of that, shame as it looks ace.

Well at least you won't have to ensure the loading screen every single time you die.

Very true :D

I might try getting one of the Souls games on the cheap and see how I get on, will give me an idea if the style is for me or not.

It does look amazing, I never had a PS3 so would be all new to me, watched a few YouTube videos and the setting and lore look very cool.
