NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Personally still not on board with DLSS - even the latest incarnation has issues around motion which you don't see in a lot of the comparisons - but personally it bothers me spending time with it actually playing - one of those things like the grainy smearing on "gaming" VA monitors that once you see you can't "unsee".

(Though I suspect it is somewhat subjective how noticeable it is)

min a lot of games you get to choose, TAA or DLSS 2.0, so grainy mess or some artifacting in water. Dlss 2.0 is most definitely not perfect but we've had a lot of games released in the last couple years with abysmal TAA that often can't be disabled

Have you guys seen the other thread or news articles, LG oleds are having issues with these new cards.

I thought I would mention it in here as I know a lot of you have an OLED and are waiting on new cards.

You would think with LG and Nvidia teaming up that someone would have tested it before release.

I know LG and Nvidia are both good at updates so no doubt it will be fixed soon.

Also something I mentioned a couple of days ago, I was slightly disappointed that my Samsung still couldn't do 10bit 444 even though same TV can through blue ray player.
But now there is hope because it's also happening on half the LG's, so hopefully that will get patched and I can also select 444 10bit.

TAA can be meh - one of the annoying things with The Division despite it not being a bad implementation it looks a LOT better if you have the horsepower to super-sample it but it is non-trivial to remove as it is so integrated into the game.

Seen the articles and post. Mostly it's coming from someone on reddit who initially started saying it was subsampling down to 442. Another user stated that he believes the user is not enabling hdmi ultra deep color after connecting and that others having similar issues with 1440p at 120hz solved it by enabling it (rightfully so).

I have no doubt any issues will be sorted via firmware and drivers.

Not caught up, but a quick google shows still no 3090 details or pre order? Any news on when either will be happening? This has been a terrible launch :(

Well I fell for a scam on the bay with a compromised account, so having to raise a dispute, apparently I should win and my money will be safe but will be a while until I get it.

I cancelled my actual order so now I won't ever have a 3080 :(, hope Big Navi is fast. :(

If it looks too good to be true, then it usually is.
