A theory on the official queue progress: They might have only really managed to start focusing on it yesterday.

  • The first confirmation I've seen that they were planning one was this post Monday morning which to me reads as being after a start of the week catchup meeting
  • I suspect the people with the systems knowledge and coding abilities to build the queue lookup system are likely the same ones that would need to be working on getting the site back up, and making sure no orders are stuck somewhere in the system (and prepping any additional infrastructure for tomorrow's 3090 launch)
  • The slew of "order recieved" emails that went out Monday afternoon between 17:30 and 18:00 to those of us that hadn't got one suggests to me that the first step of "fix the system and setup a queue" was making sure all the orders were correctly in the system, and customers had their emails. I suspect this was what they did Monday before hitting the "send out the emails" button before clocking off for the night.
  • Which if my (based on very little evidence) theorising is correct means the working on the actual queue we'll be able to see/get emailed by likely didn't start properly till yesterday, so I wouldn't expect it to be at a point where they'll have tested it enough to trust it until at least the end of today, but really I'd guess tomorrow at best. Just hope that they get done before the 3090 launch distracts them when it breaks something else.

I agree. KFA2 were listed on day of release, heard no one receive one and 0 info on expected stocks dates. Please at least give us some news on what's going on !
Info on the kfa2 is slim to none! I saw a throw away post on reddit saying they should appear on the 24th so if none are seen by then I'm going to start to worry.

We have 2 generations of people looking to upgrade (10-series user here that didn't feel Turing had much merit), plus the pandemic has increased demand quite a bit. On top of that, we knew the 3xxx series was going to be good, it has been rumoured and leaked all year so we've been telling friends, family and anyone else that'll listen not to upgrade because come September there'll be a shiny new card worth getting.

We were half right, I suppose.

It's been brushed over as far as I can tell. Gibbo was on late last night and addressed queries about the new cards that appeared on the site and also update on EVGA. Nothing about KfA even though there had been posts asking for info. At least it's still open for orders though, so I'm taking faith they know something is coming sometime.

Same thing with EVGA, I pre ordered the FTW3 because it was listed on release day. Why take people’s money for a product when you have absolutely no idea when you’re going to get it?

These sort of logistics should be worked out BEFORE it goes on sale.

Just to set the understanding correct here, it's not Overclockers fault whatsoever really. The fault lies entirely with EVGA, who won't ship to Europe yet as they're focusing on the USA and Nvidia who once again didn't expect much of a demand despite every launch exceeding all expections. Channel your anger at the right people, please. What are Overclockers going to do? Not list one of the mainstream AIBs and lose out on hundreds of thousands of pounds to competitors?

Sooo 3090 tomorrow, whos gonna try and loan 1,6k for few months? Im personally gonna go with store that ships based on actual stock info myself

I'd rather poo in my hands and clap.

Got the money sitting there for a new card but I'm not playing nVidia's game just because I can't get my hands on a 3080 anytime soon.

Gibbo has said it'll be a situation similar to this, they dont have the stock numbers to meet demand

Yea i get that even tho some of them are over 1600 GBP and seems like 20% better than 3080 still gonna go ham on sales but i cba loaning money for 2-3 weeks to OC with little to no info :(

I know about the whole stock situation but I managed to purchase it on the day of launch ! But it keeps saying on my order order received - not yet shipped ! I just want to know when I might be receiving it ?
Give us Hour we give you MONTH that you will get the card yes Month

Lemme get my crystal ball.

here’s hoping for evga products soon

Obviously Nvidia totally under-estimated the popularity of there new Ampere GPU's. None are available anywhere in the UK (Sep23). One PC supplier (cant mention their name) had 38,220 views for the RTX3080! I think when you pre-order you have to pay at the same time, although some suppliers will not charge unless it is in stock ready to be delivered? Don't know about OC? Because of CV-19, more people are staying home, and like me, have extra money to spend on PC upgrades from all the savings made from cancelled vacations and other social events. Also, PC suppliers can organize their stock supply better than others, so you pre-order and pay and wait for 3-6 weeks for delivery, but someone else may only wait 2 weeks or less? No one seems to know how long we will have to wait for these GPUs, but it could be a long time?
