If the monthly production figure of 20000 is correct then we can expect OC to have received between 50 - 100 cards since launch. It would be nice to know from nVidia what the current production stats are, although I doubt they will want to release information on chip yields which is most likey the bottlenecking factor.

For future purchases a word of advice. If you are going to be making a large credit card purchase - and you know in advance you are going to be doing this, phone the bank fraud department, and tell them what you are about to do, give them the names of retaillers you will probably be using and a ball park figure of what its going to cost. Then they will pre authorise the payment and you won't run into these issues of payments being blocked.

This happened to me buying an expensive X99 motherboard, then there was only minor inconvenience and delay and there was no waiting list so it didn't matter, when I've made purchases after this I've pre authorised and never had an issue since.

I used to work in a banks fraud team. These notes are helpful for manual review but 99.9% of this is automated and they don’t read manual notes before blocking , it’s an instant decision. You get a LOT of complaints around big launches with people calling to say i told you I’d be making this purchase, or I told you I’d be going on holiday to this country etc. Countries can at least have a travel flag applied. Not fun to work on phones during iphone launches etc.

Morning all, I've been lerking around 24/7...going slightly insane I think ;), so time to join in.
Woke up at 5am with the dog barking, calmed him down, went back to bed and must be the first time I haven't checked the nvidia website!!! I think it's a sign, every time he barks now, I'm on it! :D
Oh well, back to the grind waiting for the official queue system. MSI gaming x...one week in, but feels like a month!
Well done to everyone who got lucky.

Just did a dummy check-out on the Nvidia store, the payment options were Credit Card or PayPal...

PayPal is not there for a 30 series card - 100% guarantee you I saw it lol (then didn't get one still :()

If you tried the NVLink then yes it's still there as different product.

Think I’d rather sit in the pre-order queue, rather than smash F5 for a good 15 minutes praying to get a card..:p
I woulnt..... A) its cheaper B) a fair few AiB cards are failing (msi, zotac and gigabyte from what I have read) C) founders card actually looks good for once lol

Just a shame I missed them

What time did you order yours?

My first purchase was blocked by my CC but I'd had the SMS sent within a minute where I had to confirm it was me, back in the store and my 2nd purchase went through at 14:08. Sometimes that text is quite delayed so I think I was extremely lucky. I went to Cuba a few years back and notified my bank but they didn't seem that interested it making any notes. My card (Barclays at the time) wasn't blocked in either Canada or Cuba though.

Yea if price didn't increase the TUF would definitely be worth the wait rather than the FE because better cooling and performance but with whats happening the Founders Edition feels like a nice choice.
I'm curious if the cards that are failing for AIB is bad gpu, bad memory or just bad power delivery.

Edit: thinking about it, Buildzoid when he did some PCB breakdowns said that the vdrop for the vram could actually cause issues and I wonder if thats whats happening with a few of them because the vram is error correcting memory so wonder if its just really bad power delivery to those chips causing the hitching/stuttering issues.

Black screen/crashes that has to be gpu clock and fixed with a underclock.

All we want is some kind of ETA from someone on a £800 order that we already have paid for, So i dont blame people for being a bit upset right now

It was your choice.

If I can't buy from the NV shop or from a place that has stock.
I won't buy....saves the pain

Yep, i told my bank was making a big purchase prior but was blocked anyways, however they were quite smart about it and didn't cancel the payment just put it on hold, then instantly text me so i just replied "Y" and payment was allowed and all was good :)
