hi guys.this is my first text regarding my asus 3080 tuf.ive been shopping from oc over 16 year now,and ive got good faith in them,
the thing i cant get is that i ordered on 17 around 16:30 when i checked the chart and queuing system from 14:00 to 16:30 oc sold 170 asus tuf ,
which mean i should ive been on of the buyer between those number ,but when i checked the queuing my number is 930,.to be honest i dont get this,.
but i will wait and see what will happen with my order.

The queue is unofficial. The 170 on the list is a sample size.

The queue position is estimated based on the sample size % vs the total number of cards ordered.

im with you on this one.

Same time if they end up more expensive people will be happy that they pre-ordered, we don't know how the price is going to fluctuate but if there is a second lockdown then the exchange rate will definitely change by a couple % which will have a knock on effect of 10%+ to the GPUs because voodoo maths.

Anyone who buys now should realize there is a long wait ahead and if they don't I don't know what they're thinking then.

  1. The Unofficial Queue Calculator, and any charts based off the spreadsheet, are just guesses. They might be very innacurate
  2. The Calculator uses order number, but for at least some people it is clear the order number was generated later than when they ordered. This means that assuming OC uses the order time for shipping order for these people it'll be more innacurate than others.
  3. The calculator also only bases the position off the order number, and the percentage it thinks were your card of the total sold. That means if some cards sold slower at first, then sped up, like the TUF, it likely overestimates the position in the queue.
At 16:30 I'd guess somewhere in the 300-350 range of the (non Overclocked) TUF cards had sold, based on the graphs I've plotted from the spreadsheet. The TUF really started to shoot up later than others (about when you bought yours from the graph actually), and by 17:30 was hitting that 900 region.

Should change the first post to "Grandpa this just got delivered"
Fixt it for ya

tnx for the info,i guess all i can do sit and wait.the down side is i sold my 2080 two week ago in hope to get the 3080 :(

I think it’s wrong that Overclockers are still taking pre orders. They clearly can’t fulfil the already lengthy queue, so shouldn’t be taking more until they have cleared the backlog.

They trying to get enough so they can give the staff a 1% Christmas bonus? LOL Rest is for the bossman :P

Is it even worth pre ordering now this late in the game? Or just wait until cards are in stock.
I’ve been looking at the Aorus Master....Overclockers seems to be the only place I can see it for any sort of pre order... but seeing that anyone in the world could pre-order the new cards up until yesterday, is the queue in the hundreds or thousands...does that mean weeks or months...really not sure whether to bother....but I bloody want one! :D One thing is for sure...I’m never going to panic sell a grx card again...:(

Hopefully in the near future (on Monday Gibbo said "a few days", so maybe tomorrow) the official queue system will be done, then we'll actually be able to get a good idea.

I feel sorry for the Web/IT team... I'm imagining two to three people, who've had to fix the site and make sure they haven't lost any orders, try to get the site ready for today's 3090 launch, start prepping a better system for next months 3070 launch, and build a queue system that they can be sure won't mess up and upset us customers even more than some of us already are... all while Gibbo and sales/customer support are bugging them to hurry up before we all go completely insane.

For that particular card its probably in the hundreds, theres a couple thousand orders total between all variants of 3080. No one really knows how long you'll be waiting but December would be optimistic

For cards to be in stock, all the pre-orders have to be shipped. If you have double the money of the Aorus Master, you can pre-order one here and hold the other half for the happy moment when you might see it at your local reseller. And if you see it there, you cancel your pre-order and get your money back. With the pre-order you also get a warranty on the price.

If I didn't already have an order in I'd wait to see which brand starts catching up with preorders then order one of theirs.

Maybe not actually wait till any are in stock, since there will be others doing that, but keep an eye on what people are posting about queue position and shipments over the next weeks/months, and when it looks like something you like is catching up get an order in then. Doubt it'll actually slow your order down much, and that way you keep your money in your bank for longer.

While an official queue should absolutely be essential for a store holding onto a few million quid of customer's money for the pleasure of standing in it, I'm not particularly hopeful about how much clarity it will bring regarding due dates as it'll tell nothing of when which shipments of which cards will be coming in.

Its a total waiting game, like its not even worth asking questions atm no one wants to say anything, no one knows anything a complete **** show

dont call us, we'll call you. Whilst spouting out social media announcements but its not there for you to reply just consume the information as we release it

Same here. But judging by the way Gibbo described the potential shipments, knowing that you're in the top 20-30 for a specific card kinda gives you hope when you might read that "a small shipment of XXXX cards have arrived" and you think that you could be one of the happy customers that day.
