I think he may have meant the story about having the much better card allocated to that huy's order number
Cancelled my 3090 Strix order today and just keeping my Zotac 3080 Amp Extreme order in the system.
I'm a casual gamer but like to have the best tech, however when I rationalise things, with the savings I can buy a new Xbox, Waterblock and potentially a ryzen 5000 series.

I'm hoping the pennies they saved on the cheaper models goes toward the high end cards. Their 1080 Ti and 2080 Ti amp extreme cards were very good.
Yeah everyone should do this...it’s not just so I can move up the list honestly

I hope so for your sake. Especially with the allegations that they made their basic 3080 worse than the FE on purpose against them

I guess when they give people enough time to think about overpriced impulse buys thats going to cause these problems for them.

Just looking at the average 4K frame rates across all benchmarks on the three TechPowerup 3090 reviews. The overall fps averages compared to the performance of the 3080 are:
Zotac Trinity: +9.5%
Gigabyte Eagle OC: +13.4%
ASUS ROG Strix OC: +21.2%
And compared to the 2080ti:
Zotac Trinity: +44.6%
Gigabyte Eagle OC: +49.7%
ASUS ROG Strix OC: +60.0%

In my case, I think I will have to wait. Not only because I ordered at 16:41 but also because I don´t think the card is still available. It is for research though, so it would be great if it doesn´t take 3 months.

Also I am not a big fan of ASUS nor EVGA, but I went with zotac as they seem reasonable and only really heard good things about them. I would assume the PNY cards would be great seeing as they are the ones making all these Tesla's
