Funny how that doesn't apply in the business world. Feel sorry for anyone forced to keep working at a less than ethical company (most of them) just to pay the bills.

I was 800-something in the unofficial queue for the Gigabyte Eagle - order placed later on during launch day due to site crashing. Snagged an order on an FE last week and waiting for that before I cancel with all the controversy around the capacitors and lack of communications from board partners and retailers regards ETA/production figures.

While I begrudge even paying the MSRP at this point I really need a new truly 4K capable card and I'm not willing to wait any longer than I have to. I feel the demand for the 10gb model alone indicates trouble down the line for other SKUs, including any AMD offering, especially if they are comparable or better value.

I never buy computer parts on launch day and I was genuinely excited for this product, the Eagle variant in particular, from a price/performance perspective but it seems that the industry really needs to get its act together. That excitement is now dwindling before I have even received the product and it is this feeling I will remember next time I am due a new card, so well done all involved.

Having said that, I might want to wait for the next batch if they have the updated capacitor config.

People like me, around 500 according to the Unofficial cal would probably have to wait till the end of October or the first 2 weeks of November if lucky. That is why i'm just waiting for an official queue this week and maybe some info regarding the shipments if they don't come up with a Queue # today or tomorrow I am cancelling for good. holding up peoples money for 3 months without a word would be a joke.

30 msi cards?? Lol this is a joke, im canceling!!... How do you take all these orders knowing you dont have stock for them forcing a preorder sale on thousands of ppl. Everyone made their purchase believing their card was allocated, No where in the purchase page did it say PRE ORDER. On the pace these cards are coming in orders wont be filled till next year.

Good you do that haha. It did say add to card and then preorder but you may have noticed the site crashed under the heavy load. So did every other site. You ordered as soon as you could hoping you could get one, because you didn’t the toys are going out of the pram. You are more likely to get one sooner if you stay in the queue! Every other supplier is in the same boat.

IIRC someone was told by customer service that the first shipment of Trios on the 18th had 5 cards in it... so you might be even closer but not quite there (or with the inherent inaccuracy of the calculator, plus cancelations, and you might get lucky!)

Another controversial thing OCUK are doing, allowing people to swap cards but keep their order number, so won't actually move to the end of the queue.

@Gibbo we really need a official statement about this. Otherwise peoples will assume true, or if it is true, why the hell? Thanks.

I've only been waiting 20 minutes, oof I've changed to another card and all I need to do is pay the difference so it's gonna take like a minute, again wish there was an indication on my position in the queue
